It's getting cold in Wisconsin and riding season is close to ending. The forecast doesn't look good but yesterday it was 50 and sunny so I went for a little ride to enjoy some of the fall colors.

Nice photo. I am hoping to do the same here sometime in the next couple days, however I'm not sure the rain will let up enough I love riding in the Fall, usually we're good until December here before having to worry about ice, etc ... as long as you stay out of the mountains

We were in Beckley West Virginia a couple of weeks ago. Were going to go all the way north to Elkins, and then head south. The color forecasters indicate we should see some fall colors.
We had to change our plans and turn south at Beckley. While we were having breakfast at Cracker Barrel, there was a tree (don't have a picture) in the parking lot that had about half its leaves in a very bright and sharp color change.
Maybe I will get to the NC mountains in a week or so and see what the colors are like there.

Due to the majority of hardwood trees being either aspen or cottonwood, our fall colors are pretty much one color. Though the golden yellow is pretty just get easy to say we seen enough.
BUT one can ride/drive around our town and see all the trees planted there, lots of colors.
Those in the Midwest and on the east coast enjoy the great diversity of colors.

Of all the seasons, autumn is my favorite. The changing leaves of crimson, yellow, orange, and brown truly reveal God’s artistry. The crisp, frosty mornings definitely require more gear, but the air is so refreshing as we take to those scenic, twisty back roads. Here in Indiana we still have several weeks of good riding ahead of us. Normally the activities, charity rides and toy runs escalate as we attempt to fit everything in prior to the moment when the first snowflake hits the ground! However, this year many events have been either postponed or cancelled due to the corona virus.

Yeah, you guys go right ahead and tell me about all your nice rides. Right now, the trike is fixed but I can't ride it. All because many years ago I messed up my back(dislocated sacrum) and when it acts up I'm down for the count. Told my daughter this morning with my back acting up I'm like a woman with a mini-skirt....if I drop something on the floor it's gonna stay there for a while cuz I can't bend over to pick it up. Took me 30 min. to put my shoes/socks on and still didn't get the shoes tied. Was almost ready to go barefoot. Oh well, there's always next year I guess. Granted, I can take the car but it's not the same...& is still painful to sit and drive.

nice colors there for sure. Took a few days off work to use up my 5 days left of vacation (saving 2 yet) and headed up to Superior WI to a few state parks, but with truck. Colors are pretty much done with up there and fallen. Went thru Rice Lake WI and blizzard snow was coming down and sticking to the grass. 39 degrees up there 2 days ago and 20 mph winds with shorts on walking out to a lighthouse along lake Superior shoreline is a bit NIPPY to say the least. I guess coming home yesterday we had down southern WI 40-50 mph winds and the few maple trees we had are all but fallen were peak color when left few days ago. We had and still do 3 feet tall of oak leaves swirled up all along our 16 foot wide garage door when came home last night they like to collect there. At least 90% of our oak tree leaves are now dropped, but I think 50% of them piled up around our house...
