Dear Joe Buck and Troy Aikman,
You see that little girl in the corner of this picture? That’s my daughter. She’s almost 7 and as you can see, she’s standing at attention to the American Flag.
Today I asked her to take some mail to the mailbox and she was taking awhile, so I looked out the front door to check on her and this is what I saw. You may not understand this, so I will explain it to you as simply as I can. At 5PM everyday, the Air Force Base we live by plays Retreat and then the National Anthem. If you are outside, you stop what you’re doing and you stand at attention to the flag. If you’re driving, you pull over and stop until it’s done and then you may go on your way.
Why is my daughter doing that, you wonder? Because her dad, and my husband, is a Major in the United States Air Force and she knows what the flag stands for. She knows the sacrifices that her family and her dad make for that flag, this country, and every citizen in it.
I respectfully disagree with the comments you made during the Packers game and I feel like they were absolutely ignorant and a slap in the face to every single service member who sacrifice their lives every single day. It’s a slap in the face to the children of these service members who constantly wonder when and/or if their parents will be coming home from their “work trip.”
You both have children. Can you imagine praying with them at night and listening to their pleas for daddy or mommy to come home safe? To come home at all? I doubt you can because you live in a world where you don’t concern yourself with national security. You don’t monitor the risks from North Korea, or Russia or other hot spot countries on a daily basis. I am so glad that your children don’t have to worry about you like my children do for theirs.
My CHILD knows what respect is. She knows that the flag stands for far more then flyovers, or “a waste of gas” as you claim. She knows that her daddy is gone a lot, that he’s on a work trip keeping us safe, in undisclosed locations. She knows that she may not get to talk to him for days and she knows that it’s okay to cry when she misses him.
I am so proud of my husband, my brother, and everyone else in the military for the sacrifices they make. I’m proud of and thankful for the ones who have come before us, and lost their life for this country. My hope for y’all is to think about them, think about my daughter and educate yourself. I hope that you can find it in your hearts to apologize to the people you disrespected. The same people who fight for your right to say anything at all.
If you have any questions or if we can help you better understand how we feel and how your comments hurt, my daughter would be glad to talk to you about her Daddy and her Uncle and everything they do to keep us safe.

Hard nuff to read here lately add tears to the mix-lost track how Many times I stopped and restarted. More over paid brain dead entertainers and their glib know it all attitude. Having Srved and Losing some Family and Friends I did on the other hand protect Their RIGHT to be dumb azzes. Don't mean I gotta like it. I'll quit while I'm still thinkin sorta straight. If it was 0800 and u were outside u stopped and faced in the direction of the Flag if you could see it or in the direction it was, if u knew that. |

I've about had it with the elites in this country that feel it is their duty to disrespect those who have fought and or died to protect their right to be ignorant assholes. The NFL no longer enters my home, those two assholes can go to hell.

In addition to my Great RESPECT for OUR Country I have a Deep abiding LOVE of this Country-OUR U S of A. Ecery P G R Mission I've attended will attend before briefing We PRAY to Our Christian GOD and recite The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of The United States of America. And every Military Base I was on Sunrise and Sunset Respects to Our American Flag. Far Far Too many Fine young Men and Women have chosen to put on a Military Uniform and have made the Ultimate Sacrifice and It rubs me VERY WRONG when those Fine Young Folks are Disrespected like that. There Are some of us here that have a DD214. I haven't realized til the last 15-20 years how Important to me personally the piece of paper is too me now. I'd do it again were I 100 per cent capable which currently sadly I am Not. So I Know I am rankled but I M H O with good cause. RIDE SAFE.

Go to your county VA rep and they can do the paper work or give you the paper work. I had mine copied at the county I lived in when I got out. |

If you are paying for a package that includes NFL games they are still getting their cut whether you watch the games or not.

Go to your county VA rep and they can do the paper work or give you the paper work. I had mine copied at the county I lived in when I got out. Maintained at the National Personnel Records Center in St Louis (unless yours is one of those lost to fire in 1973. bretshim-Semo97 and Jess from VA beat me to it. Actually easy peasy to get copies as stated. And ya might wanna check with the V A and see what kind of medical and drugs help available to you. Yesterday as an example I went to a Private Practice Orthopedic Surgeon and the V A picked up the tab. Also my drug copays are Very Reasonable. Appears to me anywho they actually kept a Promise that was made in Feb of 1964. And fer I fergit there bretshim-Thanks fer Your Service and Welcome Home. RIDE SAFE.

I used the VA home loan guarantee once myself, to buy my only house. No other VA benefit ever sought (like the ones I used to write appeal decisions on.... Hey, I got PTSD and no I never served in combat, but my drill instructor demeaned me in front of my peers for weeks and weeks).
It was a good deal with no money down, but man I don't ever want one of those big mortgages ever again.
Besides that, I was trying to think the last time I borrowed money. Yep, $5200 for my redneck Cadillac 1979 Chevy El Camino SS in 1984. Needed a better car to ship overseas than the old Ford I went on active duty with (that thing was a serious embarrassment, though it ran just fine).
I haven't put any study into the Aikman/Buck comments on the military flyover of a nearly empty stadium, but it seems to me they were mostly commenting on the pretty expensive costs for jets, pilots and fuel (which it is). Which any good conservative taxpayer might rightfully question. They obviously didn't know that flyovers are built into regular pilot training budgets, since we do need military pilots (and aviators) to keep their skills up.
It wasn't an accidental hot mike screw-up either. Aikman was sarcastically quoting one of the liberal TV crew about something that wouldn't happen under a Biden Harris ticket during routine pregame rehearsal, and someone on that crew cut it out of tape and released it on the sly, and an internal investigation to find out who is underway. (so just another case of D sabotage against any who disagree with them)

I was under the impression that all these flyovers (lots for NASCAR as well) were kind of a combination of both training and recruiting money pots. In any event, I don't think they would be doing it just for the heck of it.
