Mostly listening to music of various venue, I ran across an old recording of Doris Day; "The Falling Leaves." The autumn leaves up here have been beautirul and this song kinda drove it home. Have to say, it really got to me with loads of memories of Fall trips Rita and I took to the NE to take in the changing of colors. During one period, four years in a row we visited N. Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine in early October. Usually flew into Albany, NY which is only about 27 miles from the Vermont border and at that time the hotel was just across the street from the airport. Beautiful times, beautiful memories.

The trees around here, although beautiful for a time, are now barren and cold. A stark contrast to the past.

I remember that song from years back.

You know it is interesting, at least to me, to see where we have come from and where we are.

Back in my day (when I was a teenager) the most risqué song I listened to was "Double Shot of My Baby's Love" by the Swinging Medallions.

And then there was Tennessee Ernie Ford and "Sixteen Tons".   A song so full of facts that many of us hand no idea about.  I mean a "Company Store"??
