78 years old.  Another great one gone.  Throat cancer.

I don't know which version of Mr. Bojangles I like most, but Sammy Davis Jr.'s version was pretty darned cool.

30 some odd albums.  What a songwriter.  What a career.

I do believe that this is a Jerry Jeff favorite of mine; a few Saturday nights at the Stagecoach Inn of beautiful Carbondale, Colorado, out on the dance floor with hipsters, cowboys, miners, and ranchers all mixed in together; twirling and spinning to this rendition from the Twirp Anderson and the Country Cannonball band.  Yeehaw for 1978. coolsmiley

I’ve always liked David Bromberg’s rendition of Mr. Bojangles where he talks about Jerry Jeff in the drunk tank.
Saw them both, sadly not together, way back early ‘70s.

RIP Jerry Jeff.
