From Twitter works but it gets so “dumbed down” it’s not ideal. Is going YouTube the only good way?

I am not an expert by any means but I have done it two ways.

Well there are three if you count FaceBook.  

One is YouTube.  Its sort of quick, easy to access and you get to add some comments.

The other is DropBox.  You can upload pictures or videos and share the links for as long as you like.  

Examples of videos I have stored in DropBox.  You can add music without having to go through "Royalty" stuff

And, as I said, you can use FaceBook but that would allow you to share it with only your friends on Facebook (well there may be other settings but).  You still have issues with any music you might want to add.
