Unfortunately, last evening, Dominion Voting Systems lawyered up, and backed out of their commitment to the people of Pennsylvania to provide their input in a public format.
Of course everyone knows you are never allowed to argue in a court of law that asserting your 5th amendment right to silence is evidence of guilt (or guilty knowledge).
However, there is absolutely no question that law enforcement (and others) believes only guilty people take the 5th (and they are nearly always correct in the assumption). And the investigators double down.
I hate for guilty people to ever go free, but this may be one of those cases where a grant of immunity in exchange for information is (very) warranted. And with immunity, they lose the 5th and are ordered to testify under oath, or go straight to jail until they agree to testify. Get it done.

Wendell Anthony screaming at the Republican members of the Wayne County board of canvassers for their initial decision to not certify the election because of chronic issues in the precinct balances dating back to the 2016 election. Watch him call them racists because they exercised their legal right to make that’s decision.
When the two republican canvassers were assured by the other officials there would be an audit done if they’d reversed their decision, they decided to do just that. Once the certification was done, the Secretary of State, a Democrat came out with a press conference saying there’s would be no audit.
Back to the issues they canvasser had. In 2016 as well as 2018 the precincts in Detroit averaged a voting balance discrepancy of over 70%. That means that every precinct had more ballots turned in than actual registered voters. After the 2018 vote the newly elected Secretary of State vowed to investigate and actually said the state was going to step in and run the next election in Detroit. Of course when it came time for the election, that didn’t happen. This is how things are done in Wayne County.

It was more than their right, it was their duty... literally their job. IMHO, reversing their decision due to public pressure was a dereliction of their duty. Where did Trump or these legislators say what they discussed? In their statement after the meeting, the legislators made no assertions that they were urged to create faithless electors. Luckily had a can of Coke and put the fire out but the Venturi in the carb were melted and stuck to the bottom of the intake manifold. But with nothing else to do pulled out the choke and she started. At that point I was dancing, made it the rest of the trip in that truck and to this day I dont know how it made it. Beautiful but desolate, seem I remember looking more at my surroundings at that point.  |
