watching a lot less news here lately. I've been checking out Roadkill Garage, and my usual American Pickers. But I came across a show called Maine Cabin Masters. I'm really liking it. Kind of folksy. Anybody else got any good TV ?

Was watching Yellowstone, the series show of a Montana rancher. Fiction yes, some sex(what ever that is) yes, bar fights....oh yes. Had a funny turn of events in this week's show. One of the Yellowstone ranch hands got into it with another patron in the bar and all his buddies started fighting with the other ranch hands. Later back at the ranch, the owner's son and another guy I'm guessing was the foreman decided to make things right. Next scene shows them backing a small cattle trailer up to the bar's double doors, they opened the doors then opened the trailer. Out comes an ill-tempered bull, turned loose inside the bar. As the patrons started to run out, the Yellowstone hands caught them in the gut with an axe handle.

Kinda amusing, reminded me of a time in high school on the way home from baskeball practice. I found a bat caught in some bushes so put it in my gym bag, then my buddies and I headed towards home. On the  way we ran across a huge wedding reception in a place called the Red Wood grill which also had a large banquet room. It was then I realized it was a wedding involving the family of the same group of guys that had jumped me when one of the brothers picked a fight a couple weeks earlier. It was one of those situations where I came in 1st & 3rd....came in 2nd when his two brothers jumped in making it 3:1. When they started to walk away laughing about it, I picked up a tree branch....got 1st place again. cooldude  Back to the bat....Red Wood had a back door which was unmanned, they were only checking guests at the front entrance. We turned the bat loose, hit the power on the main box outside, then locked the back door by rolling a car against it. They were pouring out of that place like ants from an anthill. The weird part was when I got home, my dad asked where I got the bat. The secret of how he knew about it 30 min. later is something he took to his grave, he never told me. He did get a good chuckle over it since he was aware of my confrontation weeks earlier and how this involved that same family. I had a lot of fun in high school....outside the classroom.  Roll Eyes

Remind me sometime to tell you about our municipal swimming pool. A subject for private conversation. Wink

Hey Rob, I hear ya on less news! I flip it on to catch the weather & that’s it.
I like the Alaska shows, Port Protection, Gold Rush, The Last Frontier, Life Below 0, & The Last Alaskans.
And Rob, if these shows aren’t true, don’t burst my bubble!
And my Tuesday go to, Moonshiners.
When the yard work is done, I walk, usually around 4-5 miles a day. I’ve made friends with the horses up the street and bring them peppermint treats. Pretty sure I’m their favorite walker now haha.

Seems I’m not missing the b/s of daily news at all.  Smiley
And although I may read the non bike related posts here, I’m not picking up the keyboard, nope not doing it!!

No news, go ride,
Craig

Rob, I see you enjoy the American Pickers also. I have had the pleasure of tipping a couple at Frank's man cave. He is having some health issues and has lost about 80 lbs since the show quit filming.

Wow, that's a drastic change in his looks, wonder what happened. I always liked that show as well but often wondered what the true relationship was between Mike and Danielle. She's a rather good looking gal but the tats kinda spoil it for me. She has more tats than an NFL team combined it seems.
