Looking for information regarding the folding flip out valve cover mounted highway pegs. I was ready to buy on Dennis Kirk and the website says Goldwing 1800 and does not fit the Valkyrie 1800 F6C.
I thought they were the same? I've seen these on the F6C forum photos. Surely something is available for the valve cover mounted type?

I believe Steve Eddie had them on his Blue 1800 Valk, and I also believe Eddie or Kim had them on one of their F6Bs.

I got a set. Great quality. I hated them. Sold them at the
Roanoke InZane for $100...

The Kuryakyn ones with long arms work for me...

Thanks Mike cooldude
What was the issue? Lack of length adjustment? I see one size fits all may be an issue. Also concerned with putting weight on them as shifting posture on longer rides may cause damage to valve cover or put unneeded stress on the internal threads, cause leaky gasket etc... 2nd thoughts, look cool and pricey although probably not the best choice.
Got to go start grilling my "Turkey Hotdogs" with all the fixins, were going all out.
Appreciate your input, Happy Turkey Day!!

What was the issue?

They open straight out from the valve cover, 90 degrees. There's a
sort of slide-front-to-back adjustment you can make but that's it. There are
many more degrees of freedom WRT setting the Kuryakyn pegs like you want
them to be. I tried short, medium and long arms before I settled down to
the long ones. As long as you don't point the arm downward so that
you have a new, perhaps dangerous, hard-part to scrape, you can
move the arm through a giant arc and it is possible to leave the peg
cocked from the arm at several different angles.

My Kuryakyns are the 4050 model, old - I've had them on my
1500 for 13 years and they weren't a new invention then. At different
ride-ins I've noticed Kuryakyns on other people's bikes with new modern
features that they all claimed to like. Little fold out pieces for your heel
and other stuff I don't remember how to describe...

Mike,
I had those on my 1500 as well and liked them. I have seen some new fangled version on an F6C that would close automatically when your feet are removed. That would be useful and safer for more aggressive mountain riders.

Ive got a set they work fine... I’m not much of a highway peg guy so I don’t need a gaudy set of Kuryakans hanging there all the time.  The the pre 2018 GW’s and the 2014-2015 Valk have the same engines so they will fit.  They seem plenty sturdy I lean back pretty hard on them to massage my back on the backrest when I do use them

I’ve got a set these as well. Have had them for several years. I like stealth and these allow for movement when needed.

Hello I have had a set on for about 90000km I find them ok I put a extra hole and rethreaded one side as one side of the engine was further away then the other.in saying that I don't think I would buy another set as I think there are better out there now with more adjustment.
