Tundra, if you don't mind, what are some differences between the two bikes that stand out to you? Is the 1800 more powerful, or handle better/different etc.?

I would say two entirely different bikes. The 1500 is better suited for two up, Touring, accessorizing and a nice solo bike as well. I really like the 1800 and it's a joy to ride and handles/accelerates/brakes well. Also very comfortable for me. I see the biggest issue would be trying to make this bike something it's not. If you need more and want to do more consider a 1500, F6B, or Goldwing. I'd say it's a fun smooth riding hotrod.

Thank you for the reply, I was mostly curious about power. My 1500 Valkyrie has good but not overwhelming power so I wondered how much difference an additional 300 CC's would make. Newer tech and bigger motor usually equates to more power.

My Valk is an 02 Standard and I ride it mostly, my 82 GL1100 is smooth as silk for an older bike, though a newer Wing would be much more so I'd suspect.. anyway, thanks for the info.
