I imagine it can be helpful for our brothers and sisters that have to winterize their bikes, so here goes a really cool video about fuel stabilizers:

It seems that Stabil performed fine compared to the other stabilizers tested (I'm personally a supporter of Stabil Marine), but I guess YMMV.

Interesting.

I'd like to see him do the same with non-ethanol.

interesting that good old stabil is still one of the best

I tried for same price on sale stabil 360 this time vs. the more red original stabil stuff says you can use less but figured I will use the same or so each winter this time of year.    I heard blue stuff stabil marine as suggested is best but the price is much higher and been using the normal red stabil stuff for over a decade no issues.

If Ryan wanted to do another test, I'd gladly donate Amsoil Fuel Stabilizer (as well as some Quickshot) for the testing. I've used 3 brands of fuel stabilizer that have worked flawlessly. Others; not so much. The only 3 I'll use are:

Amsoil

Yamaha

StaBil Marine 360

I've had regular Stabil fail to keep fresh fuel good for 3 months, but the 360 Marine seems to work OK. The original Stabil always worked OK for me back when gasoline wasn't the tainted crap it is now. No luck with Starbrite or Seafoam, yet many people seem to. Go figure. Makes you wonder about regional differences in fuel quality and additives. If fuel was all the same, you'd figure that everybody would have the same experiences with additives. From what I've read all over the web, that's not the case at all.

Interesting video thanks but I have seen problems with Stabil, like the fuel gelling. The cost of all these is a bit high also and as the video says the benefits are dubious. I would say that the testing is also done with Sea Foam which is really not a storage additive but a cleaner so I would say it is not really in this catagory.

I have found that this stuff does the job for years, not months.

Put in Seafoam and this and had no problem with fuel a few years later.

I was going to stay out of this, but,,
I've had Stabil go bad, get all clumpy/separated and wouldn't dissolve.
I'm a Sea-Foam guy, had good luck with it for decades.
However I use non-ethanol.
