But, but, but, I was told that electric cars were powered by unicorn farts and bunny hugs.

I just cannot recall what president gave massive subsidies to manufacturers and buyers of electric cars.  A clear case of NIMBY.  Wonder how he would like it if they found lithium under Martha's Vineyard? And unlike oil workers, who make very good money, lithium miners are basically slaves.  No OSHA in these 3rd world countries.

Interesting study on the full life-cycle environmental impact of Electric Vehicles vs Internal Combustion Engines.

In summary: Both are equally impactful to the environment

I'm only a proponent of EV's as I have had much success from an investment standpoint with multiple start up companies. Tesla owns the market on the consumer end, but several companies are working to jump into the commercial transportation end (Which are heavily looked at by UPS, Fedex, Amazon, and Walmart). One company (Workhorse) is in the running for a $6 billion contract to supply the USPS with EV delivery trucks.

Even the Donald has promoted Lordstown Motors EV truck "Endurance"

I believe the subsidy they talk about in the video has ended though.

I believe the subsidy ended awhile ago. 2 friends bought early electric vehicles for their wives because of the subsidy/tax credit. They didn't own them for very long, POS. A liberal friend bought a Chevy Volt [ die hard GM guy] and he didn't have it very long, POS.
