I not sure what the heck is going on, but a couple weird things are happening.

My time setting changed itself to -3 hours.
The little "new" icon (indicates new post since I opened a thread) is not present on many threads that have new posts.

Anyone else having those issues?  It's as if someone is using my log-in.  I don't think so, but I'll change my password and see what happens.

I've changed the time many times and it resets itself.

I'm still not getting notifications of replies to posts. Haven't for years now.

If you have SSH access to the host that's running the board, can you check the data/time on it? It might have gotten off if it's not setup to synch its' time with a SNTP server...

The time of day I see when on the board has been all over the place for months and months. (but right on the money now)

I ignore it as I own a clock.   Grin

The default time is Pacific time.  Somehow mine set itself to -3 hours (Eastern time).  I look at the time on posts pretty frequently and didn't notice it being off until today.  DST sometimes messes it up, but only by 1 hour.

Time of day on the board has been incorrect for quite a while. Glad to see it is dead on now.  cooldude

Is this a Dominion based message board? Could explain it.

There, now it is political.

My job here is done.

There's a place in your profile to adjust to your own time.  I didn't change any general settings, just my own.

It sounds like something thru a lot of our times off. I think we each individually have to fix it in our preferences. I'm going to change mine 4 hours right now.

I think something wierd must have happened. I had changed mine to minus 3 hours years back. Now it needs a plus 1 hour.

I fixed yours for you.  You're on Pacific time, so it should have 0 hour adjustment.

The message board default time has always been Pacific (I'm pretty sure).  It sounds like the same thing that happened to me happened to you.  It was at -3, and should have been +1.  But it just happened out of nowhere the other day.

You are probably right. When I saw it was set at -3 I assumed I did that some time back. It is strange indeed whatever happened.

I have selected auto detect for my profile.  It shows correctly now and I believe it will if the server moves.

We'll see how it works next week when I may travel to California.

Well, it didn't work so well.  It reverted me to two hours off so I set the profile to +2.

I notice a difference unrelated to time. The fonts for
"mark all messages read" and the line of actions including
"reply", "add bookmark" etc has changed or maybe just
changed color...

EDIT: I see now that the difference is that the "decoration" or
"gizmo" whatever the html term is, is missing from around the
words...
