   One of my faves. I probably have about  10  or so of his LP's stashed away in my collection downstairs...think I'll go dig one out and throw it on the turntable right now (old CW music sounds best with a few scratches and hisses).

Class act top ten all time real country singer he will be greatly missed by many. rip Charlie you were great.

         Believe he was told a long time ago with a Very derogatory term he'd Never make it in country music. So Happy Mr. Charlie Pride Proved them All WRONG! Very Distinctive Voice lotsa us folks gonna miss.  Rest in Peace Charlie Pride.

Charlie was a pretty fair pitcher and may have had a shot at the big leagues had he not been injured.

He took to music after he knew that his professional baseball career would not materialize as he hoped.

Great voice, great songs, great man as attested by his peers.
Well done sir, may you rest easy in the peace you so well earned and deserve.

My mom and dad saw him at the local county fair way way back when I was little.  I miss the old school country music and when an old country song comes on the radio from back then I remember simpler, easier times.      My mom and dad really enjoyed the old school country like Loretta Lynn and Charlie Pride and Conway Twitty, to name a few.    I now do to unlike when I was younger not as much as a kid, but sure beats my dad's POLKA music blarring all the time no idea how one loved POLKA OOMPAA music so much? 

I saw him on the CMA awards a few months ago and he looked nervous as rightfully so not been on stage in awhile, but he did awesome as usual not missing a beat.   I sure hope he did not catch Covid from the CMA Award event as some say might have happened.
