Took the 550 out for a spin around town today. Stopped in to the horse farm on my street. I traded a bike ride for a horse ride.

1 horse power is sure a different ride lol. But it was fun, only other time I rode a horse I was pretty drunk and ended up at the hospital.  2funny
Sunny is a great horse, I gave him a couple peppermints and got a friend for life now!

As they say, "ya just gotta get back up on that horse".   Glad the second experience was better than the first!   cooldude

Jess, those are to help with the combined weight on his front hooves. Think they put them on for hard surfaces.

No Rob, that was a long time ago. We went to a place that rented horses for trail riding. I assured the guy I knew how to ride. Never was on a horse that wasn’t being led around before. But lots of beer made me an expert! Until he was running out of control right into a tree limb. The limb won...

It looks BIG. I wonder if Craig stole it off a car while at the hospital ?  Smiley

Those are called "Easyboots" and are usually used when shoes have been pulled; they are substitutes in giving the hoof proper support when being ridden.  Keeps balance in the amount of pressure that is exerted on the  structures of the front hooves and bones.
They work well if applied properly.

Is the big fella a Belgian or perhaps a Percheron cross?  Good lookin'; he's got that big chest up there.
We are in the elder years' of the last couple of geldings lives and once they are gone, it appears we are over our horse ownership times.  Gonna miss seeing equines (horses and burros) out in the pasture, but all things must pass; we knew that when we got into having them some 35 years ago....and so it goes. smitten

Hey Bill, that’s the year of manufacture plate. Might be the first one in MA. The guy I bought the bike from petitioned the state legislature to allow bikes to run them like cars can.  I had to jump thru extra hoops to get it done and pay an extra 20 bucks. No where to put stickers so I stick them to the registration cause I know it’s only a matter of time before Barney stops me...
Bike has plenty of patina, but she fires right up and screams. Pretty scary winding it out past 5k and still more to go, compared to a valk.

Awesome Dad, nice looking horses there. I really know nothing about them, but Ive been helping out at the farm a little bit, and learning about them. They’re way smarter than I imagined, and a peppermint or 2 gets you best friend status!

Yeah he’s a Belgian lost him this past summer which caused our walker to go into a depression requiring relocation so we are currently horseless...
