Hey guys, so my wife’s sister and husband moved out to Las Vegas a few months ago, 10-15 minutes from the strip, from the photos nice looking neighborhood.

So anyway when they were here for my father-in-law’s funeral service the topic of riding in Vegas came up. He’s still on out scouting around so I thought I’d be nice, reach out to some of you all and get some decent destination recommendations, some good roads and routes for him to get out and explore as a start. You don’t need to give up your best roads, routes and destinations but just a few to get him off and running.

Thanks..

Hoover Dam, Laughlin, Lake Mead, and California is about a 4 to 5 hour ride through the desert and worth seeing. Just take any road out to the desert and stop for a bit and enjoy. Second on Mt Charleston and they have a lodge at the top and many times has snow at the top while warmer temps in the valley and the apple cider is great.

Green Valley which is south of Vegas and Henderson and Boulder City. Riding to California you can see Barstow Station and the wind mills on the side of the hills there, and sometimes it has a train running though with military equipment.

Arizona is not far away either and many things there worth seeing.

Plenty of room to go shooting out in the desert just stop and shoot when you get out of Vegas.

When you ride out of Vegas its mainly desert and not much in scenery but it is interesting.

Hoover Dam is only 30 minutes. But you can't ride across it anymore.

it is. I stopped there years ago when riding with a small group. They rode on and left me  Sad

Turned out to be the best few riding days I've ever had.

I spent 3 days in Zion.
