Did you watch Hell on Wheels? We really enjoyed that one. Longmire was another favorite.

yes the finale of godless.... one of the best single episodes ever

all 3 were great series.

Hell on Wheels was loosely based on history, you can actually google the characters

I liked Longmire... not Hell On Wheels... as I remember, there
was nobody to like in Hell On Wheels, even though it seemed
well put together... we gave it at least one episode... Deadwood
got less than 5 minutes...

The word "blop" is said 43 times in the first hour of the show.
It has been reported that the series had a total count of 2,980
"blops" and an average of 1.56 utterances of "blop" per minute of
footage.

Since I like Westerns above all other movie/show formats, I've tried many of these Netflix ones mentioned here. Hell on Wheels was...well, pure H*** to watch, I only got through one episode and a bit. As with some of the others mentioned that I've tried as well, I felt it tried so (too) hard to be realistic and the actors tried so (too) hard to me mean, tough, macho, or whatever that it and they came across as the exact opposite. For me at least, there has to be something in the story, imagery, or portraying of the character left to the imagination or open to interpretation in order for a show to be pleasurable to watch...I found that these ones didn't do that for me. One Netflix western that I really enjoyed was Buster Scruggs...I've watched it several times and each time have picked up a bit more in terms of the sense of humor, irony, etc it leaves open to interpretation. Being a comedy, it also didn't take itself seriously in terms of trying to be realistic.
Different strokes for different folks...not criticizing anyone else's tastes, just expressing mine Smiley

no doubt. Cussing doesn't bother me much though. Deadwood probably rates as my favorite series of all time.

Watched all of the mentioned shows, some were very good quality.  Unfortunately the nonstop blops got to us as well.  I'm not a pristine talker, and have been known to drop an occasional blop when trying to install new alternators on a Valkyrie, etc.  But these blops are almost every sentence.  It hurt my virgin ears!  Really very annoying, and a huge distraction from the content of the show.  Seems to be the norm nowadays, and it's not limited to westerns by any means.   Undecided

If you have Amazon Prime Video watch "The Last Narc".  Very disturbing if true.

Just watched the last episode.  No reason for me to believe it isn't true, and it's VERY eye-opening and disturbing.   Money can corrupt just about anyone, at any level.  Even Uncle Sam.

RIP Kiki.
