Twenty years ago today, I became a Valkyrie rider...

And, as Jerry Garcia would say, What a long, strange trip it's been...

Yours was brand new. When I bought my 97 in May of 99 it had 800 miles on it. It was a demo but it was still new. It was a black standard then. In 04 I took it apart and transformed it into what it is now.

I have been looking in all along. just not signed in. I moved out in the country and phones were bad internet was real slow if it worked at all. Well they installed fiber cable and i jumped on it. So i am now signing in on the sites i go to. No more buzzing phone and i can see pictures. Getting to your question we are all good. Thanks for asking. Now that i am looking at my post it looks like i will have to change the picture. Old Blu is now gone. The new one is Bella same breed.

Heh, I'd been riding mine to work for a few weeks after I bought it when a co-worker came up to me away from the bikes: "I didn't realize just how HUGE that bike is until I saw it without you sitting on it!"

So it was clean once  Shocked

Once.....  Embarrassed

Congrats Serk. You beat me by a little over a year. This was Valentines Day 2002

I think our "Day I bought my bike" photos are photo negatives of each other - Yours was likely the dirtiest it's ever been, mine was the cleanest...   Grin

Yup, that was me... I was still in my 20's then... Barely, but...

Very close, mine was also a leftover '98, bought in December of '00..... It was still in the crate when I bought it, had to come back the next day to give 'em time to fluid her up and make her road worthy.....

Chirp's not so bad. In Colorado I had How Great Thou Art
going through my head for several days, each night I'd
check the lyrics again and pretty much could "sing it in
my head" after several days. Then 10 minutes in the parking
lot with Smokin' Joe and his Valkyrie's stereo the next day was all
"... because I got highRoll Eyes ...

-Mike "Why couldn't it have been Sweet Home Alabama?"

Yep. I bet too. I know my night was sleepless. I found my baby after a five minute internet search down in Fort Lauderdale I had the next five minutes to decide to buy because the truck was leaving shipping bikes north. I said yes overnighted the paper work while the guy drove and it took a little over 24 hrs. I remember my first thought. “Oh what have I done”. Lol
