Offer 14, but the 15 price is fair as well if they won't budge.

Gosh, they are both beautiful. I guess it depends what you really want, both real sharp bikes and worth the price. Tough choice, best of luck (I know what my choice would be)

I thought Monty Hall always had 3 doors ? Of the 2, definetly the red '18. I've been seeing commercials of ladies buying themselves $60k cars for Christmas. Maybe it's a sign ?

The 2012 is a decent deal as far as I'm concerned. If you'll be 2 up a lot of the time, I'd go for it...maybe at a reduced offer. That '18 looks like a very good deal and that Red & Black colour combo is absolutely gorgeous. If you're riding mostly solo , I would think it would be pretty hard to pass that bike up at that price.

As we all know there are plenty of used bikes out there and these are but two that caught my eye but I am having a hard time determining each bikes value. Truth be known, I would just like to get in some riding this coming year and a few more down the road and I am not one that has to have the latest and greatest to be happy. But at the moment my Valkyrie would need as much in parts and labor as to afford me a reasonable priced early Goldwing, hence the search for what’s out there. I located one 03 Goldwing with 40,000ish miles for under $5k as an option though not my favorite color.
My lust for a Valkyrie back in 1999 has waned over the years but I’ve had her so long it would be tough to see her go. My lust now, such as it is, runs along being back in the saddle for some face time in the wind. It would be nice to connect with of you guys down the road instead of just reading about your travels. My last Valkyrie ride was a get together In Bardstown Ky arranged by our own Rams, and I can’t even remember the year right now, so it’s been a while.

Since you stated in the other thread you’ll be riding solo, the 18 would be my choice (admittedly I’m a bit biased). No fork seals to worry about and better handling. Rear tire changes take 15 min. Navigation and music is so much better with Apple CarPlay or Android auto. For $2000 more, it’s a big jump for not a lot of money.
Cant tell from the pic, is it manual or DCT? Did you confirm if the American base 18’s have reverse?
Also, if you go with the 18...I strongly recommend the center stand. It’s only $150 and makes tire changes, tire pressure checks, washing, etc so much easier.

Have not confirmed reverse. You make a compelling case but not convinced I want to invest $15k on any bike yet. It would be nice to have though.

Tire changes would be the same on both bikes I would go with the 2018. But nothing wrong with the 2012. Good luck

You are correct, of course . The other newer wings have the single sided swing arm too. I went from the Valk to the 18 so that difference was huge to me.

I recently sold my 2015 level 3 anniversary Wing with 3500 miles on it for $16K. The gentleman in Seattle that bought it had an identical one that had over 100K miles on it and after test riding a new one decided he didn't like it. He bought mine for a spare and said that would be the last bike he ever purchased. I have heard that a lot of two up riders are not fond of the new model both in terms of driver/passenger room and cargo storage.
Definitely ride both and see what you prefer.

Did you get another bike? Unfortunately no. I decided it was time to call it quits. (at least for the foreseeable future) Working 60 plus hours a week for the past three years, Too many close calls recently (distracted drivers), 2 guys I know killed last season and another one hurt pretty bad, I felt like the universe was giving me some hints and I simply wasn't finding it enjoyable. We are moving into more off roading type adventures but we do hope to make InZane this year, I will just have to take the walk of shame among the bikes without one. LOL.

I think I remember that now. 60 hours a week for 3 years should provide plenty of funds for toys, like that new Bronco!
