Hope everyone has/had a great one!

I had a little x-mas Spirits while waiting for the little demons, er, I mean sweet little angels to get their butts to sleep:

And then Daddy/Santa duties were carried out...

We installed a gate at the top of the stairs when the triplets were babies, I told them we were gonna close it tonight, and if ANYONE made a SOUND, or tried to go past that gate before 8AM, Santa would come back and do a repossession..... So hoping for some sleep now!  Evil

Edit to add - And Rob, that's far less disturbing now that you're retired.... When you were still working, wouldn't it have said "I rub other people's meat"? LOL!!!

Serk, Santa bringing the presents Christmas Eve was also the SOP when us kids grew up.

There would not even be a tree or stockings and no presents of any kind out.  Then when you woke up and ran down, all kinds of wonderment, tree and extra decorations, cookies and sweets, and gifts were there.  And mom always took special care to fill the big stockings with all kind interesting small things.  And the milk and cookies partially eaten.  And our fireplace was big enough for a tree stump. The three of us were close in age and we all thought it was Santa.

We'd have to be practically locked up in our rooms to go to bed, and the folks would be up half the night setting it all up, and assembling bicycles and things.

At some point the tree got set up by the whole family on Christmas eve, and that never changed.

our decorating now that we are empty nesters consisted of putting up a 2 foot tall ceramic tree and plugging it in, now that both kids stay 3 1/2 hours away from us and we went up and saw them instead.

1st year ever I did not spend anything on myself at all.  I think though we went a tad bit overboard with one kid spending over 400 bucks on a ninja foodi,  ring doorbell, new kitchen knives, and cat tower for their cat.   The other kid also got over 300 bucks of stuff.    AS I age, I find I do not need anything for Christmas.  Their goes most of our 1200 stimulus check.   Grin    I just go out and buy items when I want to all year long if a good deal on sale.   cooldude

We stopped on way home yesterday and chatted briefly with mother in law as well who spent Christmas by herself since she did not want to come up with us for 2 days with the kids for fear of covid, etc.

On a bad note though,  am sort of fearful my mom's assisted living home sent me an email 2 days ago that someone at her very small 8 person assisted living home tested positive for COVID and all are isolating in their own rooms for a few weeks no visitors allowed either.  Owner/mgr. would not tell me if it was a tenant which are 6 people now or 1 of the 3 workers but my guess is one of the workers I would think since the 6 tenants do not go out ever.
