Dissing rocketray seems to be a common theme here, this isn't the first I've seen of it.
The only real 'cure' for covid is state sponsored vaccines right? Everything else is a witch doctor potion, after all, our medical people are ALL honest and have no agenda.. and we should trust everything they say regarding covid-19 without question right?
Never mind a medication that will help a body fight off the assault and form natural immunity without taking an unproven, hastily developed vaccine..
Intravenous Vitamin C has shown great results, it's all buried of course.. quack 'studies' on HCQ were engineered to fail by our science experts (it's cool now though).. on and on it goes..
I know you guys are trying to be funny, but a serious undertone exists nonetheless, I don't like elitist crap in any form, especially when it's based on a house of cards with serious credibility problems.
rocketray deserves better IMO

Seriously, lighten up.
If you'll look back I've stated we should attack C-19 on every front that works. Good health and fitness and supplements including C, D3, zinc (and others) may indeed be legitimate avenues of perhaps avoiding serious illness. Some studies indicate that mega-dosing vitamin D for several days following the first symptoms could be very advantageous.
Last time I checked most Rx therapeutics require the scrip -- or an attending physician.
Apparently hydroxychloroquine does have some therapeutic benefits and should probably be allowed for use. IF the anti parasite drug ivermectin works, great. Add it to the therapeutic arsenal as well.
I will opt for the vaccine when it is available.

A new strain? But of course! We get a new strain of the "flu" just about every year. Why would this winter be different?

The first line of defense is to be in some sort of shape. Kid down the street came home from a major university and I was screwing around with him saying he should be in quarantine. His response was I think everyone at school has had C-19. I bet he is right, same with the military. Both situations lead to young people on top of each other with not much space. Guess what? It doesn't kill them.
You can't go back to being 20 years old but keeping yourself in reasonable shape will help with any kind of disease. I see people who are just way out of shape. They then run into continual problems through out their lives. Nursing home people account for 1/3 of the deaths, not really a surprise. You don't recover from a nursing home, you are on your way out one way or another. Next big category is people who have eaten themselves to death for the most part. Diabetes or heart failure will kill them early but in this case the flu is killing them.
I was looking at some numbers of people who are dying and really it comes down to being in sort of reasonable shape. Those who aren't don't do well with C-19.
There are cases where people are in trouble for no fault of their own but that is fairly rare. I have friends in Orlando and we stay there a few times a year to hit Universal. We can't go there because the lady of the house found out about 5 years ago that she has some odd genetic auto immune problem. It attacked her lungs at 50 years old. It is only from some mountain region of Germany which has this gene problem. So we can't go there because C-19 very may kill her.
In the end there is no cure just vaccinations so you don't get it. What Trump and many are put on is antivirals and then steroids. That works if you are in reasonable shape to begin with. Trump is old and fat, worked for him. Bet he isn't a diabetic or have a bad heart. BTW he doesn't drink or smoke. Never has.
