Left SoMo in the cage Nov 20 2020 and drove north to Illinois and my Brother and SIL. Went over to a Nieces house for Thanksgiving with lotsa food and deserts and More importantly-catching up with-well why Not the rest of them-some of them. Travel restrictions for some and health issues for some others. Phone calls sorta kinda o k-NOT.  Lips Sealed But also there But for the Grace of GOD.  angel
Ross had brought down from Green Bay Wi. that Chariot Bike hauler-single bike-that I bought from John Schmitt. Danged nice trailer and a few mods-extended the tongue by one foot L E D orange marker lights where reflectors had been and large chain repair links stead of just hooks on the safety chains. Bought a heavy duty plastic ammo can that I'm gonna mount for strap lock and spares storage. Came with 5 mounted tires-2 road tires on white painted wheels 2 storage tires on plated wheels and a spare on a plated wheel. If you were at Asheville in 14 you've seen the trailer I bought when John trailered in that Inzane.
CHRISTMAS Eve was spent at the same Nieces house that Thanksgiving was. We've played this game before and it IS a Blast. Candy and other "stuff" is wrapped up in plastic wrap with the bigger prize til last-which I got this year. You MUST keep one hand on the ball while unwrapping the plastic while the person next to you rolls a single die. 4 was the number this year. When the person rolling the die gets a 4 that person passes the die and the person that rolled gets the ball. I'd gotten candy and hand sanitizer-sign of our times  Lips Sealed -and 2 lottery tickets. 1 of the lottery tickets was a $25.00 winner!  cooldude CHRASTMAS Day at My Brother and S I L house and FOOD FOOD and DESERTS DESERTS DESERTS. We sent Bruce-our own DDT-pictures of some of the bake goods Ross and BonBon created. Lets just say I imported some contraband to SoMo!  2funny
Got back to my Casa this afternoon and recollected the "fun" involved with backing up a Short trailer.  Roll Eyes Anywho ALWAYS enjoy my visits with FAMILY. New Year couple days out so HAPPY HAPPY.  Wink RIDE SAFE.

Dennis, how did it tow for you...especially empty? Glad you had a good time with Ross & Bonnie, special folks indeed but I'm kinda prejudiced.  Wink

That sounds like a sweet trailer, HF has heavy metal ammo boxes for 15 bucks, just FYI, got one for my honey this Christmas.

I've towed the Valk twice now with a U-haul MC trailer, I have to say those are friggin bulletproof, galvanized and solidly built. They tow like a dream and are long enough to easily back up, I especially like the ramp being high enough to see in the rear view.

I need to get some ramps to put the Phat girl in the back of the pickup, or get a new SO who likes to ride longer distances    Grin  Cool

When I was leaving my Brothers place in Il. one year bout 100 miles from his house my alt took a dump.  Lips Sealed He and BonBon were downtown Chi town but he Did show up with one of those U-haul M/C trailers. 10-4 on the Bullet Proof. And SAD ta say-Ross checked and MAJOR Bummer-U-Haul do NOT sell those M/C haulers of theirs.  Cry Nor do they sell them at the end of the trl svc life.  crazy2 John came up from Florida to Asheville N C in 14. He KNOWS bout this trl I bought. I Did notice already an-expected-drop in fuel mileage.  Lips Sealed You wanna play ya gotz ta pay!  2funny Sides-in This particular deal both sides of the deal were met-Seller and Buyer Happy!  Wink RIDE SAFE.

Most assuredly.  Did you tie those two tie down rings together at the rear. If I forgot to do that they would rattle the entire trip and drive me nuts. I know...that's a short trip! Grin  Glad you like the way it tracks. Now, I'm still looking for a replacement trailer for the trike. I'd love to find another Chariot made for trikes, has to be minimum of 10x6 since this fat lady is really fat....5' wide at the fenders and 10' long. It's a Roadsmith conversion which extends the wheelbase a few inches. Actually, I'd like to find something that would give me a few extra inches clearance side to side and front to rear, maybe 6'x11or 12'.
