My old friend Charlie Grau, a/k/a The Sculptor, was a member some years ago. At the end of a ride or garage project, he and I would sit in his living room and he'd pour a bit of it in a small glass and we'd sit and sip for a bit before I headed home. But if I were on the bike, I have a strict rule...never drink anything while on two wheels. It was quite smooth, wish I could think of the name. Seems like it ended in something like "roso" and was even a TV ad a while back. Young lady would ask for it on the rocks and it showed the barkeep pouring it in a glass over a couple cubes of ice. It was sorta amber colored, if anyone has an idea what it might be I'd sure like to hear it. I'm no drinker by any stretch, a bottle of wine will turn to vinegar before I finish it. I have a half bottle of Baileys I bought months ago, have no idea if it's still any good. I'm open to suggestions as to what it might be that we used to sip.

Mix Disarrono/Ameretto 1/1 with blended Scotch over ice and you have a “Godfather”.

On a cruise ship, that’s what I sip while watching a show.

Yes..if you enjoy the taste of cream soda this is a drink for you.

In an 8oz glass 1oz with ice and club soda stir and enjoy.

I believe it’s only 40 Proof so it’s not a strong drink and you can have a couple.

Some people pour Ameretto (or Creme de Menthe) on vanilla ice cream.

I would be guilty of that on occasion. Ameretto or Grand Mariner over vanilla.

I'm not much of a drinker, but I do enjoy the odd liquere. Amaretto... DiSaronno in particular, is may favorite. Over ice, makes a nice relaxing evening drink. It's also great in a cup of tea....and if you like Dr Pepper, mix it about 50/50 with Coke and that's what you get.

Back in my Bartending days. I served a Flaming Dr. Pepper. A shot glass of Amaretto topped with a little 151 rum light it and drop it in a half full glass 16oz of beer. Drink it all while its still fizzing. Taste just like a Dr. Pepper.  cooldude

I remember shots of flaming Don Q 151 rum.

I remember a full beard (and regular eyebrows), and deciding flaming shots was a bad idea.

But it was fun to watch.

Pyromania and drunkenness is a great mix.   cooldude

Nah...I told Aaron I had a cold and he was going to have to take care of it on his own. Looks like he did. In case you all aren't aware, the playing field is heated underneath. Has pipes buried at least 6" or more under the turf to keep the Kentucky Bluegrass and the ground from freezing.

Looks like I have to make another liquor run tomorrow.  I just bought some spiced apple rum and was yummy with diet coke.  Now need to get this as well.

One thing is for sure,  the people here know their cycles and liquor both..   Roll Eyes

FYI, according to Bailey's web site, their opened Irish Cream may be left unrefrigerated in a sealed bottle for up to a year. I wouldn't know if that is true since a bottle of Baileys has never survived an evening at any function I ever hosted. That and I prefer Carolans Irish Cream at half the price of Baileys.

Not much for amaretto, I stick to my American scotch, aka Basil Hayden when partaking.
