I don't know the guy (Mooskee) but the ad looked familiar.
Looked in the classifieds board and found 'em. Says he'll make a better deal for a VRCC member.

About 5 years ago, I contacted the Honda dealer and another reputable motorcycle repair shop and they both wanted around $700.00 plus parts to overhaul the carburetors. I don't remember if that included removing and reinstalling them of not. I sounds like a lot of money, but if you needed carbs for whatever reason, I guess it's a decent price. Thankfully, I don't.

Most places I’ve asked are around $1000 just bringing in the whole bike.

I don't know if it's a good deal or not, but you are getting rebuild carbs.
And you still have your old ones to sell.
