On advice of my brother went and saw the 1st episode of Vikings on friday and finished the 9th episode last evening (sacrifices),
Looks like there are a whole bunch of seasons to go thru in the coming weeks.
Anyone here see the series?
No spoiler alerts please.

If you don't know where your going any road will take you there George Harrison
When you come to the fork in the road, take it Yogi Berra (Don't send it to me C.O.D.)

Looks like it might be good... the wiki page shows that it is different from The Last Kingdom, which I didn't care much for...

Vita and I watched the entire series. Both of us really liked it. As with any of these series, some seasons are better than others, but with that said, overall I found it to be worth my time.

If it's the series I watched on television it starts off during the first few seasons as reasonable historic fiction but the drifts off into magic and accommodations for modern day gender equality.
I enjoy historical fiction especially of medieval and pre-medieval times. I like the Arthurian legends and such but too much magic turns me away.

YouTube has an amazing range of short Sci-Fi movies.
Look for a company named Dust to start with.

I saw some of it years back. I couldn't get into it. I've been on a British, Aussie streak here lately. Currently on "Rake".

Yes, we watched the series and enjoyed it. I find the earlier seasons were the best, as our favorite characters were killed off, we lost interest. (not a spoiler) as there is just so much blood and killing in every episode. That was the second series we've ever binge watched. The first was Game of Thrones.

Vikings starts out great...but for me it goes downhill a little in later seasons when there's more focus on his sons. I'm thinking 1-3 is great. 4-6.5 is not as great. I haven't watched season 6 part 2 that was just released yet, but I think it'll come to an unsatisfying end...like most shows that were once great.
