Precious moments, hold them close to your heart. She looks quite content in your lap John . Enjoy !
Yep...sleeping like a baby!

And babys smell so good...most of the time.

We were sitting like the picture about 15 min. later when I felt that all too familiar vibration through the blanket. I called momma over, told her it's time for clean up in aisle #2. A few minutes later she was back, I held her against my chest and was humming to her and bam....sound asleep again. I used to do that with all my girls when little, they would go to sleep for me when their mother couldn't do it. Strangely enough, the girls all remembered those moments from farther back than I thought possible. When my oldest daughter was dying from cancer I went out to visit her in Louisiana. She called me into her bedroom, asked me to hold her which I did, then said "daddy, would you hum to me for a little while?" I did while rocking side to side a bit, all the while my tears were running down her back, shortly she fell fast asleep. She was a grown woman, age 54, yet at that moment she was a little girl again. That was nine years ago this Spring, she was gone a couple months later. I guess holding little Lucy like that brings back memories for me too.
