Her name is Lucy, sweetest gal I've had the privilege of meeting in quite some time. We first met about 4 1/2 months ago and the relationship has only grown from then.

She's great grandchild #13(as far as I know, grandsons were a bit industrious). We were at my daughter's place watching the Packer's game and they had just scored. Everybody was whooping it up and Lucy stirred a little, stretched, then back to sleep with her arms like in the picture. Told my daughter that Lucy agrees with the refs. She's developing a personality....and a bit of temper when hungry and mom is slow in getting the bottle ready. Howling like a banshee and not a tear in her eyes. Note I'm holding her feet, she kinda likes that it seems. My Rita often would sit in a booth across from me instead of beside me. I knew what that meant....the shoes would come off and she'd put her feet up between my knees and I'd sit and massage her feet while waiting for our food. One little waitress once saw what I was doing, kicked off her shoes and asked Rita to scoot over. I obliged, we all got a laugh from it...I then decided I need to go wash.  Grin

Yep...sleeping like a baby!  Grin  And babys smell so good...most of the time. Wink We were sitting like the picture about 15 min. later when I felt that all too familiar vibration through the blanket. I called momma over, told her it's time for clean up in aisle #2. A few minutes later she was back, I held her against my chest and was humming to her and bam....sound asleep again. I used to do that with all my girls when little, they would go to sleep for me when their mother couldn't do it. Strangely enough, the girls all remembered those moments from farther back than I thought possible. When my oldest daughter was dying from cancer I went out to visit her in Louisiana. She called me into her bedroom, asked me to hold her which I did, then said "daddy, would you hum to me for a little while?" I did while rocking side to side a bit, all the while my tears were running down her back, shortly she fell fast asleep. She was a grown woman, age 54, yet at that moment she was a little girl again. That was nine years ago this Spring, she was gone a couple months later. I guess holding little Lucy like that brings back memories for me too.  smitten
