Sunday (tomorrow) at midnight Amazon will be shutting off all of our servers in an attempt to completely remove free speech off the internet. There is the possibility Parler will be unavailable on the internet for up to a week as we rebuild from scratch. We prepared for events like this by never relying on amazons proprietary infrastructure and building bare metal products.

We will try our best to move to a new provider right now as we have many competing for our business, however Amazon, Google and Apple purposefully did this as a coordinated effort knowing our options would be limited and knowing this would inflict the most damage right as President Trump was banned from the tech companies.

I was amazed that they would do such a thing, its pretty disgusting.

Hopefully there will be new legislation that strips them of their ability to do this in the future.

But there was already talk many months ago about the president using the emergency alert to contact people. We were told that it would happen and That is why there was a test of the system.

they need to get their butts handed to them and they are the ones making classifying it as a public corp necessary.

I've been following this, and it's very disturbing.... As a (small 'L') libertarian, I support any businesses right to do business with anyone or not as they see fit, but this should also apply to bakers who don't wanna bake gay wedding cakes either....

I hope companies far and wide are looking and noticing, that, if you wanna trust AWS, or Azure or any of the other cloud services with their crown jewels, if you say the wrong thing, your entire business could be shut down at a moment's notice, and make business choices appropriately.....

I agree with you but in fairness my understanding is that they didn't out right refuse to bake a cake for a homosexual couple.  They simply said they could not include the slogan that went against their religious beliefs.  They did recommend other bakers who might.

One more thing.  I did not think about this when I read the Parley but did a look up.

Apple can automatically, at their whim, remove apps from your apple device.  It appears you can mitigate this by doing the following.  I have not verified it will work but did take the steps. 

Steps for preventing Apple from deleting Parler from your phone:

1. Go to settings;
2. Click on “screen time”
3. Click: “Content & Privacy Restrictions”
4. Click: “iTunes and App Store Purchases”
5. Click: “Deleting Apps”
6. Click: “Don’t Allow”

Yes I understand and agree and I guess I have been harsh in my contact with my two senators from SC, but after seeing Senator Graham smiling during his "talk" on the senate floor I was ticked. 

Oh,  regarding EBS,  I know this falls into the conspiracy theory notion but I saw something somewhere today, about Apple being able to remove that notification from your phone.

When I saw that I thought to myself, WTF.  Why would I have to be concerned about that.  Never crossed my mind that it might be done to eliminate response from we the people.

American Thinker shuts down comments: shut down the comments or shut down the site

Many of you may not know the website but it comes up often in "The Liberty Daily" website (link below).  This shows that censorship and control of what you can say on the internet is alive and well.  What you see/read is limited and controlled.  Much more so than two weeks ago.  Just remember that.  January 1, 2021, free speech in America, at least on the web, ended.

On January 14, American Thinker founder Thomas Lifson published a blog post about shutting down the comment section. An update to the post said it was either that or shut down the website. AT appears to be very worried about the comments they are getting. The blog post didn’t explain anything. It did say people who read AT are upset about the elimination of the comments, but it didn’t dissuade them.

It’s a sorry world that they can’t even have a comment section. We don’t really have free speech in this country any longer. It’s especially unfortunate for a blog that produces thoughtful, intelligent opinion pieces worthy of discussion.

I always thought that a business could not discriminate based on color or creed.  I guess that only applies to conservative run businesses. 

Loews Hotels on Saturday canceled a planned fundraiser at its Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando for U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, who spearheaded the objections to President-elect Biden’s win in Congress on Jan. 6.
Hawley. R-Missouri, was also shown in a photo raising his fist in solidarity with pro-Trump protesters on Capitol Hill prior to the violent assault on the Capitol building.
“We are horrified and opposed to the events at the Capitol and all who supported and incited the actions,” Loews said in a statement on Twitter. “In light of those events and for the safety of our guests and team members, we have informed the host of the Feb. fundraiser that it will no longer be held at Loews Hotels.”
