I have a 2001 IS burgundy/black. I went to Dags/ R. Browns web site to get the paint codes and paint names, but the colors and how many built pages are not working. Seems like the other pages are working.
DAG- Problem? Fix?
I can get the color code off the frame, but the painter was hoping to get the official Honda Name also. Any one know, or where there is another source for the name?
Thanks.

Yeah, but some of their color names are different than what Honda calls them. Color-rite says "Pearl Cheyenne Red", but it seems like Honda calls it "Deep Pearl Red", or something like that.
Thanks for the link.

Dag:
For 2-3 days, I could not get the colors page or the how many built page to work. They worked today. The colors page says. "Dark Pearl Red"
In fact, the two pages you link, one says "Dark Pearl Red" and the other says "Pearl Dark Red" ! WTF?
And on the first page or two, where the pics of the bikes are, It says "Pearl Cheyenne Red".

MP, the paint scheme on your bike looks OEM, but the red doesn't appear to be the the OEM color. It could just be the pictures or it could be my unfamiliarity with the red and black. Are you sure it wasn't repainted?
There was one that exact same color ("orange-y" red) at the Blue & Gray ride last summer. The owner was out of Maryland, but I don't think he is a regular on the board. It was a color combo that I never saw in person before that, probably because of their rarity, but it looked really good. I would be 99.9% sure that yours is a/the factory color, MP, just a rare one.

Stick over on the VRF has the same color, it is stock, I've seen a couple of them, the red is about the same as my sedona red and cream tourer. Hoser

If you want to save some money you can go to a paint suppier that has a scanner . Take the motorcycle or part(s) from the bike they can scan and color match . It will save you better than 50 % over what Honda will burn you for it.Picture below is my Valkyrie I'll have for 12 years this coming June I've had it to the painter several times over the years ( saddlebags-trunk-fairing <---all painted at different times ) I also got hit by a fellow Valk rider and he's had the bike at the painter also.

It is the 2001 Red/ Black, which is a different red than all the earlier Red/Black's. There were two this color at Inzane in CO this year.
Now, is it repainted a close color to the original? Do not know.
It has what looks to be factory stripe in the silver/grey flake of the OEM.

I contacted the seller, and he had to replace a few parts because he went down at about 10mph. But, they were per-painted by Honda, so they are the OEM color for a 2001 Interstate.
I am glad, as it makes it easier to match the color.
