I traveled over Christmas, and did my favorite thing: stopping at Honda shops I've never been to.
At Cycle Center in Asheboro, NC there is a set of pipes that look like Cobra pipes to me, and that's what the Honda D00d said they were. I looked them all over, they don't look brand new, but they have almost no bluing, so I think they've been used hardly at all. There's a silencer in each pipe. I wish I had taken a picture, I don't reckon I'd know the difference between TBR pipes and Cobra pipes, but I can say there was nothing written or stamped anywhere on the pipes. No dents, not scratched up, everything looks to me like it is there, but again, I don't even know the difference between Cobra pipes and TBR pipes... They look real short to me, but I'm used to OEM pipes...
The guys that were there that night didn't know how much the Boss wanted for them, so they said to call back. I just called back and verified that they want $200.00 for them. I told them I was going to tell my VRCC buddies about them, and they said "yep - $200.00"...

For either Cobras of 2Bros, that is a good price. Were the ends slash cut or turnouts? Most 2Bros are turnouts, and Cobras slash. I guess a small number of 2Bros are slash cut.

Probably Cobras then. I have the set of 2Bros I took off mine to mount a MarkT Custom set on my 97 std. Would let them go.

Willow,
I had heard that they made a 6 into 2 with slash cuts, but I do not know that for a fact. Just heard it or read it somewhere a while ago. I remember, because I thought they were all like my 6 into six with t/o's, and it kind of surprised me.

Wish I lived closer to them so I could buy them as spares. Buy them , Bunny. I'm sure we have a member (or members) that will retrieve them and get them to you. I had heard that they made a 6 into 2 with slash cuts, but I do not know that for a fact. Just heard it or read it somewhere a while ago. I remember, because I thought they were all like my 6 into six with t/o's, and it kind of surprised me. TBR did make some 6 into two pipes for Valkyries, but they had canisters and couldn't be mistaken for Cobra's. I have a set of each.
Wish I lived closer to them so I could buy them as spares.

Anyone close to the Cobras for $200?
I am more than willing to pay a little extra for your time to pick them up for me.
Let me Western Union you $5000 and you just send me the change back. Just kidding.
I am serious about wanting to know if someone would help me out though.

He's already been corrected but hasn't changed his listing.

I have Cobra's on mine and the baffels are right at the back. To still use the baff,s you could only cut about 2" off the end. I do not think you could here any diff. in sound. ........I had a set of TB's and the baff's are welded in deeper in the pipe. I cut off the turn outs and added 16/18" of straight pipe to each and the sound was very deep rumble like a nascar.(wish I had not sold them) If I remove the baff's from the Cobras,I get the basic same deep sound but no back pressure and lose of ponies.
