Nobody has it at local stores. Places on line don't seem to have any.
Do any of y'all have any leads?

I know where you can buy all you want.
$1 a pop, unless you have 223/556 or ANY ammo to trade.
Seems I find less ammo for sale, trade only.

I went to bassman's suggestion and picked a box of 50  Freedom Munitions
RNFP, put it in my cart and when they added shipping and tax it was $65  Shocked ...
I'll probably wait (a long time maybe  2funny ) before I go that route. But
thanks, bassman, I couldn't find any at all myself...

The kind I found at the place bassman showed me was $1... and
then shipping and then tax... $65 for a box of 50... I have one box
I paid $35 for, I guess I'm just learning the hard way... I haven't bought
any ammo in a few years, I used to just go over to walmart and
buy boxes of 38 specials for $20 or so...

There's a gun show near me next week... Is that a place to look? Probably
have to be there when the door opens?

You won't find ammo in stock at retailers. Wherever you find it, increased at least weekly.
I stated earlier $1 a round, just checked, now $2 since the US military has been deployed to suppress 1a. Gun show price will be around $2+.  More troops at the peoples house than Afghanistan.
Trading ammo is now the trend.  Pressure on 2a will be a high priority soon and prices will never be normal again.

If you have a Tractor Supply store near you check there.

I have seen some ammo there.

I think that people don't realize that they sell it.

If you don't find anything sat. online, I'd try the gun show.  Those are always a good place/time to restock cleaning supplies, patches, brushes, pistol rods, solvents.  And cash is king at all shows.

The prices to get into those things has gone up, just like ammo.

If you have enough .38 on hand, you could take a box with you as a partial trade inducement (price reduction).

Like 9mm, .380 ball ammo is not such a good defensive cartridge.  Anything is better than nothing, but I'd be more willing to pay a premium for jacketed hollow points, and not so much for ball ammo.  My .380 of choice is the (newer) Sig V-Crown; lots of testing shows it's nearly as reliable as ball in functioning semiautos, which is always a good thing.

Also, local gun (internet) boards (like Armslist) often have a separate listing for private ammo sales (all legal).  Course private sellers are in it for the profit too.

23 pages in SC (I didn't look through them).  (you can turn off commercial sellers on top if you want to)

Its so overpriced right now, I am not willing to pay $45 and up for a 50 rnd box. I was at our local indoor  range the other day and they had 1 box of 50 for $22, I couldnt get my wallet out fast enough.

When out to my local Mom and Pop gun store here. Another interesting conversation and I'm happy I remembered to git Cash as they do NOT take plastic. ,40 cal .38 cal .22 cal shotgun-any-has none cain't git any. VERY low supplies of .45 .223 .256 .30/30 .30.06 and No hand guns left to sell. He has a couple of long guns-A Rs-and at least one box of ammo-separately priced-and the Lowest priced long gun he had-used-came in at $750.00. I Did on the other hand score 2 .40 S & W magazines-1 14 rd 1 10 rd for $50.00  out the door for both. While Not an entirely bad day tuned well in 1 aspect anywho.  2funny Hope all y'all are able to beef up your stocks at least slightly. Watch yer 6.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

We scored at Cabelas last week. 9mm ammo was $.36 out the door. They open at 11:00. No connection,  just information. Five box limit (250 rounds).
