When I first got my Valkyrie way back in 2002 I met Bruce. At that time he had a red and white similar to mine. Both our bikes were fairly stock with little added on.
Bruce and I weren’t close friends but we saw each other at local events and I visited him at his home a couple of times.
During the next few years Bruce bought all black tins and started on adapting a Woody’s faring with sound system. He worked really hard getting this bike just how he wanted it

But what I didn’t know until later was Bruce was battling kidney cancer. He had beat it once but right after finishing the bike the cancer returned. He still battled hard and people on this board were very supportive to Bruce
Once it was clear he would never ride again he started trying to sell his custom Valkyrie but too much time setting up it would barely start. I knew it was just the carbs so I bought the bike for his full asking price and got it restored to running and riding like new again.
Bruce loved it when I sent him pictures of his bike on different adventures and bike nights.
After Bruce passed I ended up selling the bike to a good friend and fellow Valkyrie rider but it was an honor to rescue Bruce’s masterpiece.
