     My cell is a Samsung Galaxy S 7. Not new by any means but also not ancient. I did Not receive the tool needed to replace the sim card with this phone as the phone was gifted to me when my S I L upgraded her cell phone.
      Googled cell phone repair West Plains Mo. and 3 or 4 names popped up. Eeny meeny etc etc. Settled on C P R. Called and got prices. Sim R & R-free. Cell phone battery $55.00 + tax out the door. Kewl. Drove to their place of business and gave the my cell phone. When I went to pay out their puter was down and the couldn't take my plastic and I did Not have nuff cash in the wallet. Crap. Nice lady said-call me 2moro. You sure I asked and she said yes.
      Still do NOT know if they are Brother amd Sister or Husband and Wife. Yesterday while there I was wearing my Nany Nam Veteran ball cap. When I called this morning and got hold of the young Man we talked a bit and I asked him for my charges as I had my credit card out ready to pay. And he said-thank you again For Your Service NO CHARGE. That took place better than a 1/2 hour ago and I'm Still choked up.I could barely talk when I thanked him. Maybe just Maybe AMERICA is Not goin to hell in a hand basket-least ways here in SoMo. RIDE SAFE.

This is the biggest reason I stopped using Android phones, manufacturers stop supporting them way too soon. I switched to iPhone because if you can keep an iPhone in decent condition Apple does do a good job of supporting them for many years. The iPhone 6s came out in 2015 and Apple STILL supports it

I had a 3s that started with my son, then went to my MIL, and then me. Still works perfectly. Brenda decided I needed an 8 to be socially acceptable.

WOW all of these old phones. Being in Engineering/I.T. along with being responsible for privacy and security....I wouldn't even let one of these phones connect to the internet via WiFi or LTE or anything, in any capacity.

I know there are people still using Windows 7 out there. I wouldn't allow a Windows 7 computer access to the internet.

Rule of thumb - if a device you are using isn't receiving security updates you don't want it.

so,  you got a new cell phone battery installed for 55 bucks on a samsung S7 right?  If so,  I might look into it since I am stuck with US Cellular and they do NOT give any good deals on existing customers on a new cell phone unlike other cell phone providers.  My S7 battery sucks if I use it much at all battery drops quickly would never last a full day ever even if not using it much at all turned on all day.

My S7 is at least 5-6 years old and some say hard to believe it even turns on with same battery as OEM.  My kids seems to use batteries lots more than me every 2 years or so they need a new phone next one is on their dime since both will be working and in or just outta college. 

As far as computers my old HP 9+ years old or older laptop still works no updates operating system windows Vista still.  I bought a new HP laptop last year only because the keys were coming off the old one but still works fine except as in that one the battery being replaced 2x's so far does not last hardly at all either unless plugged in all the time.  sucks on these NEW HP laptops the battery is not replaceable built in which sucks for sure.

    All I do on my cell is phone calls texts pictures-take receive and send and check weather apps. I do Not do Any purchasing with the phone. Skinhead-you iz correct They Are for Trump as are a LOT of folks here in Missouri. Sides even at $55 still cheaper than a new phone and being committed to that service for how ever long. I Don't Need a new fangled whatever every time a new one comes out. I have a 22 year old M/C and a 15 year old car. A 2016 model cell phone? I'm still ahead of the curve!  Not sure how old my H/P laptop is but it still wurx. Been retired 12 years next month and I'm still using/wearing some work boots that I put a lot of miles on while still driving big truck. Never have been big on change just for the sake of change. I am with you O2S, I have a older cell phone and will keep for a while.  All I use my iphone for is to text and make/receive calls.  No banking, streaming, etc.   Anything else is done on a pretty much protected laptop, which is kept up to date on security.

      Was down there again today and gave them a thank you card with a personal message in my hen scratchin I pass off fer writin. Also to git my 2 weather apps back functional. Also let her know any cell phone work I ever need again they be the First folks I'm a callin on. And B T W I asked and was informed It Is Mother and Son runnin that business. RIDE SAFE.

I have a galaxy S20 ultra and just ordered the S21 trading the old one in. I pay like 30 bucks a month and always get a new one every year under a program with samsung. Worth it to me

I have an iphone SE and it runs the latest software with all the security updates (did one today). I love the phone cuz it's small enough to fit in my tank bra pocket along with my wallet.. it fits nicely into my front trouser pockets also.
