« on: January 22, 2021, 04:13:51 PM »

Great Day, finished the Carbon Fiber install on my friend's Blue/Black, I think it came out nice.

Just a little on the rear looks good...

New Kick shifter and a little Carbon Fiber behind it.

I like this the best

Installed POD lights with blinkers, nice. Mine do not have the blinkers.

Installed new shield.

Installed new Avon Cobra Chrome tires, Fat 200 no issues on rear.

Then we went for a ride to scrub in the new tires. Great "little" BBQ joint been there longer than my years on this planet. Very good Q.

While enjoying our Q looking across the street saw this cool place.

Tomorrow we hit the Florida Twisties, yes they do exist. I'll show some pics of the roads we ride which will stir your soul.
(specially those in the snow) Wink

He scored this low mile beauty just one week after I found mine. I would have liked to find this one, I would have grabbed it in a skinny minute. Sharp and clean..."ChrisjCMA clean" cooldude I'm not fond of my black but the super low miles attracted me.

That carbon fiber stuff looks cool, it seems magic that it can fit
to those complex profile surfaces...

Is that a new Triumph Rocket over the left in the garage picture
of multiple large bikes?

Heat gun/hair dryer takes a little patience, although easy. Yes, Rocket .

Thanks for the posting Tundra.

All beautiful bikes I'd be proud to own - ride any one of them.
Keep sharing your rides, helps me (us) get through the long N.E. winters...  cooldude

Looks good  cooldude carbon fiber is about a perfect mod for the bike and you did a great job putting it on.

Let us know how you like the rear tire

Robert, Sorry if that was misleading, the blue Valkyrie is not mine. It's my friends bike. He loves those Avon Chrome and is no stranger to them.  I have run them on other bikes and will run them on my Valkyrie when the time arrives for tires. I only run a matched brand set, front and rear and Avon offers this for our Valkyries, the bonus for me is the fat rear which fills out the rear fender, looks much better and handles like glue. He rides extremely hard and busts sport bikes in the corners. Sized properly will match the original height/geometry of the stock tires. We choose fatter and lower, although you can choose either 50 or 55 series. He also chose to slip the front forks down eliminating the slightly nose up attitude and he likes that, works for him. I choose to leave that up to the Honda engineers in Japan. Mine is the completely stock black bike with stock accessories and will stay that way. He has recently done black triple tip exhaust, Guhl ECU flash, torque loops. This is my first bike ever that will remain stock. Everything works well for me as is.

Very nice looking.   One minor detail I did to my blue/black was to blacken all the zinc plated bolt heads that fasten the various black  body pieces to the bike. I used Cerakote.  Just my opinion but I feel it gives it a more finished look.  I also painted a few bolt heads blue to match the color of the parts  they were attaching.

Good choice on the windscreen! That setup has worked great for me for many years now and compliments the look of the bike!

Maybe Show Chrome?

Yes, ShowChrome . Mine came with Honda OEM factory POD lights. No complaints. If I was purchasing, his are much nicer and would be my choice. Wink
