You guys are gonna be surprised by the bike's horsepower...

Typical "Look at me, I bought into the hype and bought something because a lot of people think it's cool".

I honestly couldn't watch the whole video, but saw enough to realize I would not make it to the end.

A number of years back when OCC was still on TV, a friend had tickets to the OCC biker build off at the palace in Auburn Hills, MI.  Since the tickets where free, we went.  All I can say is I wanted my money back.  What a waste of time!

I would love to know how many miles are on each of the OCC bikes today, and if they are still even running.

I'll take my Valks or Goldwing over a chopper any day.  They may not look as cool, But I can put 600 miles a day on one and still walk.  And for a lot less $$$$$$.

Oh, I think the Valk looks as cool... even more so in fact. And yes, as you say we can also actually ride them.

Back when they had their popular show Jo and I were sitting on the beach in Key West when the whole  crew showed up sat next to us. So we all start talking and I never said a word about recognizing them. Near the end of the day and everyone was about to split up and leave Little Paulie and I were talking so I then asked when they were going to do their magic to a Valkyrie. He just looked at me and said probably never.

They came over every day and sat and talked. Downtown we would run into them they wanted to hang out and get to know the town. We even took them to the raunchy drag shows.

Seemed like good guys, but, later the problems started.

While still living in Colorado I took the offer of riding a late 60s early 70s H/D chopper based on an iron 883. 6' over springer front end no front brake and even with my tallness and inseam Tough to flat foot. Got the ornery s o b fired up and figured out quickly it didn't particularly like to accelerate or stop that well. Also needed bout as much room as a semi to do a 180. Tween all that and the clip on bars-no apes-I was damn glad to git that "thing" back to the owner. Been offered to take out other choppers a resounding NO THANK YOU!  cooldude
The shop in Il. daprez used to work at had a chopper custom something and the first thing that caught my eye and made me shudder was that open primary with what looked like the gilmer belt off the older blown dragsters. And even with yer boots on the forward controls you git something sucked into that primary that is attached to Your Body it gonna git Ugly Quick!  Undecided
I'll hang on to my Phatt Ghurl and remain Happy!  smitten RIDE SAFE

I like old choppers, I have a 69 ShovelHead. It is an adventure to ride. Rigid frame, Kick only, shake your teeth out, a blast for barhopping.
