We started out heading to Brooksville, I got caught in two rain storms within 9 miles to meet my friend, also heavy sea fog from the Gulf. We decided to head South over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge due to better weather. I typically do not ride South as there is no shade, It's hot as hades and the bugs are so big they leave bruises. The roads are also flat and straight, just plain boring. We decided to try to spice it up and ride "The Tail of the Gecko" I counted three dead bore, one so big it looked like a black bear, one dead deer and two dead dogs, all roadkill... vultures everywhere. Hit two more rain showers on the way home. This was uneventful, no pictures as we were dodging rain all day. My bike is filthy and covered in bugs. I have some cleaning to do.

Its been just the best weather for riding but now that I have the convertible I have been less on the bike. But have been exploring some areas and this was one of the places that I found. It was so nice and quiet, cool and the sun was setting. I know its not the bike so forgive me but it was cold and just wanted to take a short hop.

It was one of the days that it was about 48 degrees here in S Fla and I needed to get out on the road a bit and clear my mind. It seems that being out in wider open spaces and seeing the farmland and not having the congestion or worry about someone in front of you cruising along is just one of the best things I can do. Of course heated seats and a little heat or putting the top up go along way to making it a smooth and comfortable trip.  Wink

I have been able to when its going to rain to see the rains coming down and plan to ride around it. That is one cool thing about Florida and wide open spaces here. I cannot tell you how many times on the bike I would skirt the rain. I have also started to enjoy riding in the rain since the bike handles so well in the rain.

Ive had the car at about 145 with the top down and the bike about 125 both on the track, of course, but both were equally as smooth. I love my rides and I don't think I would change either of them.

No bugs to wash off here in Northern New York. It is going to be around 0 degrees tonight, and only make it to the teens tomorrow. Can you guys send some of that warm Florida air up this way?

No warm to send you Bill, it's a bone chilling 40° here this morning. Will be riding at noon, should be a premium riding day, clear, crisp cool, and sunshine. Sounds like a good day for Beef on Weck cooldude
