I was going to say something, but 2 things stopped me.

1. My Mom taught me that if you don't have something nice to say, it is better not to say anything.

2. What goes around, comes around.

With that said, I sincerely hope you all up there are prepared for what is coming down.

photostash will no longer accept my password

I  emailed you a pic scoop so you can post it

Got to bring that blower to the Bronx to clear my sidewalk in front of the office

Needed it too.

Well, I'll admit I'd like to see that snow blower on the back of your Valkyrie (or do you tow it behind the Valk) but, it wouldn't do any good to send a pic to me to post.   Haven't put the effort into figuring out how to post pics.

Hi Oss,
Can't you open a practice in the South in the winter?  That snow shoveling has to be getting old.  I sure don't miss the snow from Northern Indiana before moving to eastern Virginia in 79.  We get some cold weather here but still get in 8-10 rides in the winter months.  Can't even imagine driving in and out of the City in the snow and ice.  Be safe and we hope to see you this year at one of the rides.

Oss,  I could not imagine leaving a VAlkyrie under cover outside at my house in the winter.  Poor thing.

I also think you need a bigger snowblower that little craftsman not going to cut it IMO.

Typical Jersey Shore stuff here, we got slush with a coating of snow on top. Shoveled and used snowblower last night, everything froze overnight, sun doing it’s job today along with a light coating of magnesium pellets. More snow later in the week predicted over a couple days...we’ll see.

magnesium chloride, dissolved in water so they can be sprayed on the road. “That’s a very important point, because magnesium chloride is much more corrosive than sodium chloride, the rock salt,” said Bob Baboian, an auto industry consultant and a fellow at the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.

Car rust and corrosion are caused by acid created when a salt is dissolved by the moisture in the air. Rock salt remains a crystal until the humidity reaches 70 percent, which doesn’t happen much during the winter. But magnesium chloride dissolves when there is only about 20 to 30 percent humidity. “Which means that your vehicle, if magnesium chloride is sprayed on it, is wet constantly,” Baboian said. The acid stays on your car and slowly eats away at the paint and metal.

My driveway is all concrete so salt isn’t a good option and I have some pavers too. I don’t use the mag pellets too much, my house faces south so from mid morning thru sunset I get a good amount of sun and it does it’s job.

Thanks for the info though, I did not know that about the magnesium, that must be what they use in the brine solution sprayed on the highway.
