We have been keeping a pretty tight circle on my Inlaws. Yesterday my wife, daughter, grandson, and I spent some time playing Skip-Bo with my MIL. I rode over a couple hours into the tournament. As I was on a two lane divided highway doing about 10 over the limit, a silver pickup quickly approaches to the left of me. It was overtaking me by 10-15 mph. When it got along side it slows down to pace me. I look over to see a 20 something young girl with a big ole smile ! Not fully grasping the situation, I just look at her for a minute. She then takes off again at 25-30 over. Now my 17 year old inner brain is starting to realize the gravity of the situation. I take off with her and catch up on her right again. Another big smile ! I give her a thumbs up and take off as she prepares to exit left. When I get to the skip-bo playing, I tell my wife (and everyone else) how I still got it going on. Everyone enjoyed the telling of the story and some embellishments. I theorized that either she thought I was young due to my helmet hiding the white beard. This was quickly laughed at and shot down. Another theory was she had a thing for old men. This one wasn't shot down as quickly. Maybe she was just a cute 23 year old girl that wanted to flirt with a guy on a motorcycle ? Regardless, I boasted of my "conquest" most of the evening. To much laughter. Fast forward to this morning. Brenda asked I wanted breakfast. I wasn't hungry yet so I settled for coffee she had already made. After a couple cups and absorbing the morning news, I head out to mill up some trim for the motorhome. After a few measurements and cuts, I started feeling queasy. Attempting some more cuts on the saw made me realize I needed to get inside to a toilet. As I'm making my way into the house I wonder how just 2 cups of coffee could make me want to puke ? Did Brenda poison me for yesterday's flirtation ? Interesting ? As I'm kneeling down getting rid of the coffee Brenda brings me a glass of water. I asked her if she heard my question when I walked in the house. She said no, and I told her I asked if she poisoned me with the coffee ? She laughed. I'm still not convinced. At least I still got it going on. From here on out. Full face helmet, Sunday afternoon, Hiway 95, I'm down ! I told Brenda already the family lore will be forever told as "I was at the top of the world one day, only to be nearly killed the next day".

"American Graffiti". You are Richard Dreyfuss (Curt) and she was Suzanne Somers (girl in the T-Bird); except she was in a truck. ...And he never caught up with her.

yep, you best stick to a full face helmet not a modular helmet where you can flip it up and look over at that young hottie. You would not want to cause her to be in an accident now would you her laughing hysterically?

Maybe that’s what it was
Them hot things may have something for full face helmets.
I was riding home from church. Now to be fair to the girls I do wear my biker vest to church so I wasn’t dressed like a deacon. I was stopped at a light and I heard honking. I looked and looked. Then I saw them at my 4 O’clock. A car full of college age hotties shaking their bare breasts at me.
Took me a couple seconds to process this as nothing like it had ever happened. My best response I could come up with was to smile and wave and then my light turned green to turn left; they went straight.
I didn’t feel bad as I did nothing to provoke such a greeting. I blamed it on the pretty Valkyrie at the time. Now I have to wonder was it the full face helmet?

I have worn a FF helmet for 20 or so years. I have never had chance meeting like you guys. Since we do ride Valkyries it isn't a factor. You just live in great places.

LOL! In your case, Jeff, I would have to believe the full face helmet was definitely a contributor.

Ha.....brought to mind my 1 time encounter that was sooooo unlike me......I was in my F250 4 door truck at a stop light and a younger woman pulled up and stopped at the light next to me on my left. She was driving a brand new BMW convertible with the top down with dealer tags and she was looking pretty hot for a 50 yr old woman. I looked over and said " now that is absolutely beautifull." She looked at me and said "Thanks". I replied "I like your new car too." She turned and looked at me with a big Ole smile and said "thank you.....you just made my day" Ha don't know what came over me to do that....so unlike me...ha

an unwashed coffee cup will grow some bugs and cause vomiting......how did I learn this?? Back when I was on active duty. After my years in Special Operations, I became the superintendent of the Mental Health department in our hospital. For my last 4 years and for the first time I had a real desk job. I brought my coffee cup home once a year to get washed. My wife was kinda mad because she had to soak that bad boy overnight. In the morning the cup was filled with stronger coffee than she usually made. She made really weak coffee. I never vomited PS. I drink coffee black. (No contaminants). Maybe it’s sugar and cream that is the culprit

Having a clean "freak" wife for 40 years is the perfect match for one who has maybe never been that congnisent of the pitfalls of drinking from a previously used coffee mug, putting his lips to an unwashed beer or soda can, etc. Being noticed when riding the Valkyrie...I have never been under the allusion that any time a woman, man, child, whatever has paid obvious attention to me or acknowledged me in any way, that it has had anything to do with me or what I'm wearing. I'm comfortable with the fact that my old Valk is the real star of the show in this regard.

Maybe it’s sugar and cream that is the culprit And that is the real issue. Nothing grows in black coffee. It's onlt because people weaken their coffee with milk and sugar that they need to wash their cups.

It's onlt because people weaken their coffee with milk and sugar that they need to wash their cups. I use hazelnut creamer. With a clean, dishwashered cup. I think it was the arsenic Brenda slipped in the pot. The thought of me being flirted with by a young girl was too much to bear. Thankfully my quick thinking saved my life. It probably wasn't a bright move on my part to ask for a glass of water while I was praying to the throne. Ya. Those dern contaminates. When I first became interested in coffee as a teenager I remember my Dad saying “If you’re going to drink coffee you drink it black. If you don’t like black coffee don’t ruin it, save it for those that do” I love black coffee, the stronger the better. I even make espresso and drink it the same way. I like to say it will put hair on the bottom of your feet.
