The bike in Drumheller looked teriffic to me. 2001 black IS with lots of bling. I wish the weather were such to allow me to take it out for a spin.

That sucks.
I sold my Tacoma recently. Put an ad online. Had an offer in 5 min. Guy called and emailed me a $500 EMT to hold it the 3 hours it would take him to get there. Another guy called, he wanted to buy it. I said a guy had a deposit on it already. He asked how much, I said $500. He said he would give me $800 to give to him and give me $500 more than my asking price. I said no, a hold with a deposit is a hold. Original guy showed up in 3 hours as promised with a bank draft for $1000 less than we had agreed on. Told him what happened and he pulled another $1000 cash out of his pocket. I guess I was more honest than he was. And I guess I didn’t ask enough for my truck.

Scam? I don't think so. The owner never took our fellow's money. His only loss is the $250 he paid me for gas for the 8 hour trip (one way) from Calgary to Drumheller.  J.K.  I let him know my gas cost and he voluntarily paid me a little extra for my trouble. |

Well he is heartbroken over the bike but will move on as he mentioned. I feel for him, I just bought a 1900 mile 2016 Goldwing from a dealer in Iowa and I could put myself in his shoes dealing with this sale far away down here in Florida, thankfully this dealer has been excellent throughout this. It is easy here to find an Interstate in numbers, I suppose not so up there.

So, now that we know where this guy lives.... Well, we better visit him soon, cuz the reason he's selling is he's about to move to 100 Mile House, or some such place. The Valk was being stored at his brother's, so there will be an extra step in the "discussion" process. Actually, he seemed like a nice guy. He was probably just scared off of the deal because he had to let me crawl around the bike, pointing out a dozen things (mostly good) that he was unaware of. |

100 Mile House you say, in BC, just north of us, and close to Likely BC where my cousin moved to the other year. I knew I wanted a reason to go for a drive up that way on my Valkyrie...  msb, maybe a little ride up that way someday. |
