Wherever I may roam

« on: February 02, 2021, 01:10:12 PM »

So I am finally putting the valk back together after a carb rebuild. I am finding I did not take enough pictures before. My clymer book says the emissions label is under the left panel but it isnt. I am wondering if anyone knows which intake vacuum lines go to what. I've got open nipples on intake 3, 4, and 6. I'm under the impression 2 of the 3 are connected and then go to the PCv. I believe the 3rd connects to the same tube that connects to the rear of the take and dumps under the bike. Also I have the 2 hoses off the carb assembly I'm not remembering where they connect. Thanks for the help as always.
Cheers

#3 & #4 have a vacuum line that meets at a “T” then go the PAIR valves. #6 goes to the petcock

Chrisj CMA thanks much, that helps a ton. Any ideas on the 2 air hoses coming off the carburetor assembly? they are the ones that T off underneath the fuel lines.

If they are the ones kinda captured on the frame of the carbs. They don’t go anywhere. Just vents

each one comes from a T connection off the carb assembly.

I tried to look. I think the vents come off a T. Are these lines significantly fatter than the ones that went to #3 and #4. If so they terminate in s hole in the carb bank frame

Yes they are. I got the rest put back together and fired up. Sounded amazing. So much better with the carbs clean. Gonna put some new plugs in it and think I've got I'd done as far as carb and hoses goes. Thanks so much to everyone for the help. If the general consensus is those 2 tubes off the carb assembly just stay open then I'm ready for a ride.

I'm about to start replumbing my carbs so this questions is relevant to me.  Please confirm that the first picture above is mislabeled.  The stay with the enricher cable attached it the Rear stay, not the front.  If that's the front stay then my carburetor world just turned backwards.

Thanks.

Probably! If you go by the direction the fuel line from the T-joint points.
