We hope this finds everyone in good health, and keeping safe, during this crazy time.

For now, this is our 2021 proposed annual Valhalla Rally date.

Due to COVID, the usual weekend after Father's Day in June date may still be unsure, so Mike and I have discussed just going ahead and planning for a September date  instead. There is a greater chance of the border being open in the first half of September and the weather will still be good.

We have reserved all of Johnny's Motel in Grand Forks BC, for Sept 9-12, with some changes.

Rather than have everyone contact Johnny's between now and the reservation cut-off date, then find out the Rally won't be going ahead and have to cancel, we are holding off the reservations until the week of Aug 1st, with an Aug 15 or so dead line, before the unreserved rooms are released back for non-Rally guests. We have the whole Motel reserved, 26 rooms. The Motel is OK with this concession.

This way we can cancel the Rally if it doesn't look like anything has changed by that time, with the least amount of inconvenience to the motel and the Rally attendees. If the border is still not open by September, those of us in Canada still wishing to attend during those days,  are free to make  reservations for those dates and meet up with others in Grand Forks for a  post summer ride/get together.

(No, neither Mike or I have already reserved room # 6 [yet])

We are posting this, so people can schedule their vacation and plan for the future.

From your BC reps, Mike and Gordon.

Stay safe, and keep the rubber side down.

I really hope the border is open and Covid is behind us by then. Still seems uncertain. Thanks for keeping the group informed, and keeping the rally going. My family is currently looking at a reunion for September so not sure what will happen there. We'll keep in touch.

I plan on attending this year.... as of now the only thing keeping me from going would be a closed border!

cooldude cooldude I'm really hoping the extra few months we've got by moving from our traditional June date allows that to happen. I think there's a pretty good chance. Boundry country and the Kootenays are spectacular in September.
