How many miles will you ride in the coming year.  Please leave a post and pic if you like of your odometer reading at the end of this year.  I will refresh this post at the end of next year and we will compare.  This is not a contest, just a way to start a conversation.  Also, let me know your favorite ride of the year whether on a Valk or not.  I'll go first.  Current mileage on the "Twinkie" is 40724.2.  My favorite ride of the year was the Shiloh Ride.  I started at home (southern IN), went through Cumberland Falls area to Knoxville, chased SmokinJoe through twisties, state roads, Interstate, and Natchez Trace to Shiloh, then returned home.  A little over 1200 miles with a little bit of riding in all type conditions with great friends and weather.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Good idea.  cooldude I'll have to look for my milage and will post again later. She is all bundles up for the single digits next week.   :'(

Hoping to do another 12-15k. This year was down to about 12k.

The best ride for me was our Sturgis trip as always. I haven't been on better roads and scenery yet. The weather was the best ever out there this year. No triple digits. Wore the beanie and leather 90% of the trip out and back. Got to spend some good times with Valkhound out there this year. Met alot of cool people this year and even spent time along the way talking with others. Met more people this year then the others. And they rode HD's!  2funny The southern route from Yankton to Rapid city is my favorite route. It crossed the Missouri River and is beautiful. From there its nothing except rolling praire. In 8 months, I'll do it again.

Mileage 65875

East TN

Sounds like fun!! My current mileage is 50,362.4. Can't post a pic until I find my
camera. It may be in one of those "safe places". I'm kinda hoping to get 10,000
miles this year. I used to get 12-14,000 but times have changed.
"Favorite ride"? Hmmm, hard to chose. Anytime I'm on the Valk and it ain't
rainin' and Bikerbabe is sittin' behind me.....that's my favorite ride!! cooldude

What if you have more than one bike?  I will do more miles on the HD than the valkyrie, just because the people I ride with most of the time are HD riders. We always do bike nights and will take a trip to Key west (2x), Daytona (2x), Panama city (2x), and Stugis on the Harley.   But like Fudgie said the Sturgis trip is the highlight of the year for me.   I always ride..no trailer!!!  cooldude

I hope to get in more rides with Smokin'Joe's crew this year....the best bunch of guys to ride with, and proud to call them my riden buds!!

Normally I would take this pic on New Year's Day, but my cul-de-sac is full of snow so I guess I won't be putting on any miles tonight.

I got in 21,196 this year.  I was going to say it was my least riding in recent years, but I check 2008 and only rode 18,105 in 2008.

I did get to do about another 1,000 miles this year on other people's bikes.

Good rides, good friends.  Hard to choose.  Friendswood, Cheaha, Chandler, Tucumcari, Gettysburg, Arkansas, Frisco, Detroit, Crawfordsville, Arkansas.

Interestingly, most every ride this year involved significant rain.

Indiana.  Covered Bridge Ride in for sure.

Better year in 2010, I hope.

Great thread Dave!

My favorite ride was probably the Blue Gray ride, I'd never ridden that far away before, or stayed on the
bike for five days in a row, plus hanging with the VRCC...

I just went and took this picture just now:

Interestingly, most every ride this year involved significant rain.

Hit lots of rain on Blue/Gray, it rained on the Fall Color ride. Carolyn drove the civic to
Cheaha, and me and Henry rode with her to the Bike Museum - whoever rode from Cheaha
to the bike museum might have well driven their bikes into the lake, that was just about as hard
as it can rain... we went from drought here in South Carolina to a giant surplus of rain tihs year...
here's me on 81 in Pennsylvania trying to catch up to the group after spending the
day on the BRP:

It will be dry and 50 today, a string of days with highs in the 20s starts this weekend. I hope
to go on the best ride of the year today  cooldude

My Obsession

What a great idea!  Think someone started this last year and we didn't get our information put down before we started riding --- so we couldn't track our mileage for the year.

Here's mine --- 97 Purple & White Tourer --- My Obsession

My "plan" is to rollover to a Brand New Valk this year --- plus ride her enough to break her in again  heehee

Kendall & I generally average between 15,000 - 20,000 miles a year --- Hell of a lot easier here --- where we have sunshine 360 days a year!

Here's Kendall's --- 99 White Interstate --- White Dragon

(He's actually got a few more miles then this ---- speedo cable was broke a couple months a year or two back)

Then we have Noisy ---- 99 Blue & Cream Tourer --- Shes our obnoxious child we keep around for fun.  LOL
