Bill's wife, Beth, does not want to have a big service because of Corona/COVID.  What we're thinking instead is a drive-by MC parade at his house in Phoenix.  Each MC in the procession would drop a flower in the yard, that she can use to make into a huge bouquet for his funeral.

Sucks having to do it this way instead of an escort.  But, since Bill, Beth, and both his parents have had COVID, they have a deep concern for it.

We're tentatively planning March 6, but she doesn't know yet when he will be sent from TX to Phx.

If you have a desire to participate, hold that date for now, and I'll keep you updated if that changes.

I'm in. I won't be able to ride, due to surgery on 3/1, but I'll find a way to be there.

I’d be down for this also. Bill’s wife sounds like a downright smart lady. Sounds like an excellent way to do it. Thanks for the updates Connie.  cooldude

Unfortunately,  I fell playing pickleball,  dislocated my shoulder and now need a shoulder replacement. I should be smoking joints instead of replacing them.

I don't know if I'll be riding either.  I had foot surgery.  I get the sutures out on 3/2, but shifting is questionable.  I have to discuss with surgeon at 3/2 appt.  I should know better than to ask, but I'll defer to his opinion. Lips Sealed

Update!  The family is requesting the drive by on 3/6 at 1300.  This will be during their family's Celebration of Life.

If y'all are interested in a lunch get-together before or after, just make a suggestion in the area of AZ 101 and AZ 51.

If there's no interest in lunch, we can meet at the Harkin's theater parking lot at 3420 E Bell Rd.

Hi Connie.  Cheryl and I are still interested in the ride-by. However, we will pass on the lunch.  Tim

I’d be interested in lunch about 11:30 and then ride by around 1 as was requested. I don’t know the Bell rd restaurants so let’s form up a plan and do it.

Update:
1150: Lunch: Brennan's 3510 E Bell Rd, Phx.
1300: Meet for Drive-by: Harkin's Theatre 3420 E Bell Rd, Phx.

I would have everyone meet at Brennan's, but I have no idea how many will show up, so Harkin's is a safer choice.

See you guys at the theater. Should I bring flowers ? If so, which kind ?

The intent was for each person to drop a flower in the yard.  Doesn't matter what kind.

Connie; I have some stuff going on Sat which I can’t put off. I doubt that I will make lunch or the drive by. So sorry.

Sorry to hear that Sandy.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can make it.

So, it wasn't just a ride-by after all.  The family had set up a display of pics, the urn, a guest book, flower wreaths.  After visiting and all, there was a balloon release.  Farewell BigBF, you are already missed.
