Crap, I was working on IZ stuff... had June on the brain I guess.  But do you like it otherwise?

Do we have any contact with his deaf motorcycle rider's club? Might be good to get their input too, maybe get some ASL in there (Other then the one Wink )

Like what for instance?

Motorcycle and mechanic are moving hand gestures or finger-spelling them out.

(Keep in mind embroidery is charged per stitch).

That might make it difficult to justify then. Was just a thought to have a brief thing in ASL with pictograms of hands spelling out, maybe BigBF or Whisperer, or Ride On, or something short and sweet but a nod to that aspect of his life and friends...

Doesn't Bill already have a logo of a sort?  I'd think that would look better than a picture of a Valk.  Or maybe his license plate.

His web logo was pretty nice, would look good embroidered on a patch.

Not sure if Bill designed it, or if there would be any legal restrictions preventing its use.

THAT is what I think of when I think about a BigBF patch.

Now I like his logo for a patch in honor of BigBF, it's him.  smitten

Of course there's a funny story behind the logo.

Bill was signing up as an InZane vendor for the first time.  He didn't have an official business or logo.  That had happened with other vendors before him.  I would just throw together a quick logo to use on the website and vendor page.  So, that's what I did for Bill.  Well, Bill wasn't having any of that cheesy logo I made, he said he would make one and send it to me.  And, so the BigBF logo was born.  I wonder if I still have the one I threw together. Huh?

I wish y'all had made that suggestion before I spent time on the one I posted here though. 2funny

P.S.  There's no problem with permissions; it was originally designed for our website and he gave it to us to use.

How about using his logo, replace "mechanic" with "whisperer", then add the Escorted portion as you've shown in the first examples. Leave off the "custom parts....etc." at the bottom, if needed add his name just above the "Escorted" part.

He has a good logo for the patch.

Exclude everything under BigBF and add the crossed wrenches in “silver” and the date or dates...DOB & DOD.

I agree with this. He does have a great logo. I'm not a big patch guy, only have a VRCC and Valkyrie patch on my vest, but I would definitely purchase and wear one of these.

His logo would make a good decal, but a digital web image for embroidery?
I guess a patch can be printed with an embroidered edge Huh?

The embroidered logo won't look exactly like the digital logo.  It would be single color separations, not gradients.  The background behind BigBF would be almost impossible.  They will send me a mock up before we go with it.

Just a thought.

Maybe in order to capture the details of the web logo, a memorial pin might be the ticket.

I'm sure there are many companies that make custom pins such as this. This is a website for a random one I just picked out of the air for an example.

Those familiar with PGR pins will know what I'm thinking about as to look and finish.

Would make a neat looking pin. Size it a little on the larger side to be able to see the detail.

https://lapelpins.com/collections/usa-made-pins/products/usa-24-hour-printed

Or a decal that could be put on our bikes. -- That might be the way to go. Get BF on as many Valkyries as possible.

A Big BF memorial decal so his spirit protects the mechanics of the bike like the bell protects us from Gremlins.

Hi Brice!  It looks like that suggestion was an epic fail.  Seems the logo is in demand.

Whatever the final decision is, I don’t think anyone will be disappointed.

I don’t know what you have in mind for a completion timeframe so all I can say is creativity can sometimes surprise you after you’ve come to a conclusion...meaning don’t rush it or stress over it just to get it done if you are so inclined.

Be well and stay safe.
