Harley’s Pan America is the first time the MoCo has venturing into the “modern” adventure segment.  Now with the rollout of the Pan America, Harley has its own in-house designed and manufactured adventure bike.  Harley says it is the first adventure bike made in America.

The Pan America rolls out in two versions; the Pan America 1250 and the Pan America 1250 Special.  Both are powered by Harley’s fuel-injected Revolution® Max 1250 engine.  It’s a liquid-cooled 1250cc V-Twin powerplant making a claimed 150 hp and putting out a claimed 94 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 rpm.  Harley says that the engine is designed to “offer a broad powerband that builds to a rush of high-RPM power.”  Transferring the power to the rear wheel is a six-speed transmission.

They released a pretty cool video with the story of the new bike. I REALLY like ADV bikes since I'm 6'4" and the tall seat height works for me. I just don't need all of that capability. If I had one of these I'd just use it as a commuter, but there are cheaper ways to commute on two wheels.

Who woulda thunk, a HD I kinda like... I think. Some pretty out of the box thinking and tech for the orange and black right there.  I'd like to test ride one, can't see shelling out that kind of dough tho.
