Sustained major injuries to his leg, don't know if both or not. Looks like a roll over as he went down an embankment. Undergoing surgery at a local hospital.

I like Tiger.  (not a big fan of infidelity, but things happen in life)

But the first I heard about this, I wondered if another woman with a golf club was involved.   Grin

It wasn't.   And I hope he comes out OK.

Winding roads up on the peninsula that is Palos Verdes;  maybe a combination of speed, a coastal fog and damp highway (oil slicks up on those SSC roads easily), an unfamiliar car (not his, a courtesy car, Genesis by Hyundai), and distraction (coyote)?  Just guessing.
Lived a couple of towns north of there many years ago drove those roads carefully; big city L.A. drivers are not known for their prowess in the narrow, curvy hills beyond the freeways.
He'll be lucky to walk without a limp a year or two from now; the xrays look like he's got a junkyard in there. 
Extensive rehab and P.T. in his days to come; at 45 years of age he may be looking at retirement from the competitive portion of the golfing world.
