Here again we have some idiots making decisions based on stupidity on their part without any input from the general public. These jackasses are no different than all the others that exercise their lack of understanding and demonstrate it by their inane proclamations. A person can always find something to bitch about, all they have to do is waste their "precious" time looking for it. I’m certainly glad we have so many Dr.Seuss books here. These were among the very first books we read to our kids and they were read to almost every night. One book would finish and they’d slide off your lap, scamper down the hall to the book case, grab another and climb back up on your lap.

This opened the door to so many trips to the local library, teaching them about borrowing books and returning them. Then the books started pouring for Christmas and birthdays and just because days as well. Once the Barns and Nobel book store opened close by it was crazy how much they wanted to,go,to the bookstore.


Only inarticulate ignorant illiterate imbeciles would consider banning books. If they ever cancel Goodnight Moon there will be hell to pay.

Way back when the Harry Potter series was first out, there was a huge bruhaha between two groups. One wanted the books banned from the elementary libraries and the other, of course, wanted them in. I, of course, took my regular position in the matter by pissing off both groups. I started by asking the "banning books is bad" group if they thought banning books was a good idea. Of course they would respond chorally with "NO!". I then asked if it would be ok if the elementary libraries started carrying Playboy and Hustler.
Them: "Oh, of course not."
Me: Why not?
Them: They are not OK for children.
Me: So, you're not really against banning books, you just don't like where some people want to draw the line. You are arguing about who gets to draw the line.

That's when eBay banned the books, citing the company's "offensive materials" policy.

One bookseller said eBay told him: "Your listing was removed: Offensive material policy."

However, the books can still be found on eBay as eBay is slowly taking them off (see second link below).
