This may or may not affect you. While I have a V A clinic in West Plains Mo. my drugs come from the Pharmacy in Poplar Bluff Mo. Last Friday nice lady told me my Lisinopril had been shipped. Called them earlier today-Poplar Bluff-and inquired as to Where my pkg was as they do not send me the tracking number. It-Lisinopril-was NOT shipped Friday as stated cuz they are having supply chain issues/problems with at least that drug. As I used my last pill Monday3-12021-I called my local clinic-West Plains-and my Nurse had my Dr. send a scrip to wally wurld W P. 30 days 4 bucks at wally wurld. So if your drugs are running behind you might wanna check as to the Why of them runnin behind. And B T W that 4 bucks is 12 bucks over 90 days which is 50% more-not counting my gas and wear and tear on my vehicle-than what I'm charged from the V A and V A ships it no charge to me!  cooldude Anywho hope this helps a Fellow Veteran. RIDE SAFE.

Just willin to bet in KC you have a Veterans Hospital and/or clinic. You WILL NEED your DD214. Or find your V A Advocate and start there. I had All my "stuff" lined out about 5 or 6 months Before I retired. Had I purchased the most recent set of hearing aides that the V A supplied I would have been-with tests-over $4300.00.outa pocket. V A supplied the hearing aides and tests. The gubmint is actually-at least as of now-keeping the Promise made to me in 1964.
I also priced out some of the meds I git from V A. Usually 8 bucks a month 3 months at a time. One of the meds I take is over a buck a capsule from wally wurld. Anywho hope this info helps ya out some. RIDE SAFE.

Of the many veteran's service organizations, I found the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America) to be head and shoulders the best.  (you don't have to be paralyzed to use PVA)

Of course, the actual VSO (veterans service officer) you end up with is what really counts (even among the outfits that don't have such a great reputation).  Training and experience is what counts.

It doesn't matter how smart you are, these outfits charge nothing, do it all day every day, and most do their best for everyone.

Shoot me a PM if you want to.

I have gone on the VA website to apply and they said I wasn't eligible due to income level.  My service dates were Sept. 1974-1978.  Does any one know the income cutoff for eligibility?

I was getting some Benadryl from the VA and the doc told me the VA cost for it was 4/10 of a cent per pill. That s 2.5 pills for a penny. And they are how much at the store, nice big mark up.

I was on Lisinopril they switched me to Benazepril because they said Lisinopril wasn't part of the VA formulary.

I haven't had any problems getting Benazepril.

It's essentially the same drug.

Benazepril is just an earlier version.
