It'll be cold here (everywhere?) for the next few days/week... today is clear and windy, around 50.

I called up Henry and Fritz and we met up to go charging off down some backroads...

Fritz's Valkyrie is the first Valkyrie I ever rode, it was for sale on the VRCC Classifieds right after I
learned about Valkyries, and Fritz lives not far from me. I went over to look at it, he let me ride it,
and I probably would have bought it (it is real clean) but I wanted a Tourer and Frank had already
told me how expensive it would be to get OEM bags for a Standard... Anywho, I'm glad I didn't
buy it, cause Fritz decided not to sell it, so now there's yet another near-by Valkyrie rider to ride with...

Here's us parked on a bridge over Lake Russell, one side of the bridge is in South Carolina, the other
is in Georgia...

Once we got to Georgia we went down some roads none of us had ever been on, we all had a good
time, I think Henry got cold  Wink - Fritz rode with no gloves! (brrr)

We were way out in the country and as we zig-zagged around on the back roads we crossed a new
(gas?) cut that is being put in - giant (cast iron?) green pipes, bigger than the 10 or 12 in black cast iron water pipes that's I've been watching them put in down Hiway 24 and 59 near my house...

Fritz has Cobra pipes, so I looked at them closely and can now see how the pipes I saw in NC are
cut off an inch or two... the silencers in the NC pipes come most all the way to the end of the pipes...

Nice pics Mike....I really like that part of the country.  I still remember as a boy when we traveled from Kentucky down to see our relatives in Florida; stopping and buying peaches along the roadside!
