Who cares? Why should we care?
In Central America there lives a species of fish, Astyanax mexicanus, that lives primarily deep in caves. Over the millennia of living in total darkness it has evolved away the ability to see and has become totally blind. Despite it's blindness it is able to live on a diet of crustaceans, insects and other small critters.
If you were to get one of these fish and interrogate it, you would find that it cares more about the British Royal Family than I do.

I get that the Royals are part of British culture and patriotism and tradition and history which is a good thing. For them. I don't mind occasional coverage of their popular traditions.
We are losing our tradition and history to brainless toxic cancel culture.
But I don't give a rat's ass about family politics. (the royals or anyone else)
Did one of them fart?
As far as the news cycle, I suppose it can be viewed as comic relief from the rest of our current government full time tragedy.
