Usually on the 9th of March we are not riding in Wisconsin.
But this year the roads are dry and it’s 60 degrees Time to Ride!
A little over 100 miles today
Here’s a picture of a road that runs into frozen Lake Winnebago we did not cross the lake.
But a few days ago there were cars and fishing shacks opt there.

GREAT!!   Was hoping to do that also.  But it is that time of year.....where I would need to mount knobby tires on, to get out of my gravel driveway.....SOFT!!  More like mud?   Oh well...I will wait.    Cry

southern WI

seems like 1st time in long time southern WI got more snow than in some spots in more northern WI, very odd.   Still runoff of snow mounds going across a ton of roads down here so pretty much impossible to go anywhere today without getting cycle wet/salty runoff, and drizzling rain past 2 days.

Heck, just last week into the 40's again felt like 70 to me after that brutal cold snap we had for around 2 weeks straight.   I am amazed at how much snow has melted though this past 1 week only few piles of snow left in my yard, not bad at all.

Next week though back into the low 40's for highs so will be another 10 days or so until firing up 2 wheels again.  My kid wants to come down next weekend to take 1 of his 2 cycles back with him up north, but I think he will be pushing it next weekend maybe into the low 40's for highs?  I told him he can wait until we come up to Eau Claire early April and I can drive one cycle back up there since for the 7th time total for 2 kids in 5 years,  both are moving again both into houses vs. either prior dorm rooms to apts./house renting.  Am hoping the oldest daughter now age 22 is done moving,  she just graduated college and got her first REAL decent paying full time job teaching up there, getting married supposedly in 2021, just bought house with fiancee (with mommy/daddy's help financially for down payment in order to get approved for a mortgage loan).   This moving is getting old for me considering I have only moved in past 32 years from parents house, to apt. for 1 year, then into our existing small house back in 1993.

Anywho, glad you got out Jack while the temps were warmer.  Now they looking at 1-3 inches of snow for us in SW WI come MOnday again after 90% of the snow has melted away, here we go again.  Hope they do NOT out down a ton of road salt for the probably 1 inch of snow coming Monday.  We just got a few days of rain to wash some of the crud off the roads.  A few weekends to go and time to fire up the cycles.   cooldude
