I currently own a 2006 Goldwing, a 2003 Standard (with fairing, stereo, and hard bags), and a 1999 Interstate.  I also own a home with just a 2 car garage and not enough room for 3 large bikes.  SO I made the painful decision to sell my first Valkyrie, the 2003 standard, She has been ridden much since I got the IS, and I'm afraid the IS will suffer the same fate, now that I have the wing.

Anyway, I listed the bike late last year and got very little interest, but will list it again now that spring is right around the corner.  As I fired her up to keep the carbs clean and took her for a ride, I noticed the brake fluid was a little funky, so I changed it today.  The worst was the rear brake fluid and I'm really glad I did this.  When I removed the left saddlebag to bleed the rear MC, I noticed the rear pads were shot, so I removed the caliper, cleaned the pistons and pressed them back in, changed pads, and bleed the brakes.  The fluid in the rear was awful, but all's well now.  I just can't sell something that I know isn't right, and I'm usually very good at keeping the maintenance up to date, but I guess when you don't ride them regularly, it's easy to slip up.

So if you know of anyone in the market,  Here's a link to the classified ad.

glad you put down at the end REMOVED STEELERS EMBLEM,  it should sell now!   2funny

Nice add-ons, sharp bike, you will miss it for sure.

I got 5 cycles in 2 car garage for 2 riders in the family, I just let 2 of my 3 vehicles sit outside in the driveway....   What is the problem you have with just 3?    coolsmiley

Very nice bike Skinhead! I like the add-ons, especially the exhaust..

Is that your Camaro in the background? I almost had a 67 with hideaway headlights when I was a teenager, I beat the guy in a race with my 69 Grand Prix and he wanted to trade cars.
The Camaro needed a synchro replaced in the trans and my pops said he needed to replace it before the trade.. so it didn't happen :/

Joe,

I feel your pain! Lots of significant memories wrapped-up in such relationships... We all do what we have to given our circumstances, but there are still those lingering twinges of melancholy when we have to say goodbye to dear companions... Good luck as you move on and enter upon newer, deeper relationships with your remaining partners. Looking forward to seeing you again this year, and to comparing notes on our journeys... Who knows, perhaps Josh will have a Dr. Pepper for you, too, to help ease your burden...

@Cookiedough
I love my home town, Pittsburgh.  I grew up watching the Steelers every Sunday.  After the whole take a knee thing, I don't give a poop about any NFL teams and don't watch them.  The Penguins are my new Steelers. I just don't have any Pens decals to add.

@Bretshim
I'm not sure where you see a Camaro, so I guess the answer is no.  The only vehicles I see besides the bike are a Buick Enclave, and a Pontiac Vibe.  The neighbors across the street have a couple Lincolns in their driveway.  Thanks for the complements on Cheniqua, she's a great bike.

@DDT
Bruce, I know you can appreciate the attachment that develops between a rider and their steed.  I hope you are returning to the Yooper ride this year,  or at least heading to Izane, we'll definitely drown our sorrows next time we meet up.

Joe,

I now have plans to attend both events! Looking forward to hanging with you again... Not sure at this point if I'll be attending your picnic, if you have one, but I haven't ruled anything out either. I am steadily improving, although slower than I'd like... Got my med complications figured out, so things are definitely looking better! Hope you can make it to Rams' big thing in a couple of weeks... If you do, then we can start the drowning thing even earlier!

Right now it doesn't look good for the Miss. Madness, I really should spend Easter with my grand daughter, but I haven't ruled it out completely.  I'm not sure about the picnic, but Tim, the swine cooker, is going to Inzane this year, so we'll get to twist his arm there.  I really should give him a call and talk to him about it.  Of course I don't expect him to do it for free like he did last time.  That was a very generous gesture on his part.  I'll get to work on it.  Safe winds my friend.

Joe,

Hope things work out where you can make it to Hattiesburg... Heck, even bring Tim with you! He fit right in with our group, and that gathering would give him yet another glimpse into a slice our world! I like that dude, and I would like to hang with him again... Sounds like a good idea to check with him... I agree we must do the right thing by him, he sure gave us a wonderful and unexpected present last summer!

In the picture looking over the right side rear view mirror it looked like maybe the front end of an older Camaro sitting on the grass? I know my vision sucks these days, so there's that haha

Correct.  That is the pull behind trailer I got with the purchase of the GW, I do see the resemblance to the rear of an old Camaro though.

That's not an emblem, it's a mural.
